The not a blood bath statement was because people were saying Osvaldo was going around with a sword stabbing people.(Pirates of the Caribbean style)
Not sure if anyone saw it, but about 20 minutes after it was announced, Luke Shaw tweeted a pair of clapping hands. No idea if it's directly related, but there we go.
If Shaw gets banned now we'll know it was I read that as two separate statements (one clearly a joke, and one not). So many ways to interpret words aren't there?
No it wasn't related. Luke was playing a game of "If You're Happy And You Know It" when he was 11 and had just remembered the next line.
I've just had a theory. I reckon this whole thing has been a set up so that there is no way we can sell Rickie to West Ham.
Jose Fonte in the background of this photo, on the left. Not a mark on him. Old photo? Had been told Fonte needed stitches under his eye. please log in to view this image
Maybe he didn't need any stitches then? The Southampton Twitter page says that all of the photos are from today's training session, so maybe it's not as bad as first seems (The injury to Fonte, in the sense that not drawing blood etc)?
Ah right ok, I read somewhere that it happened Wednesday, hence the photos from training today showing no signs of stitches on Fonte, leading me to say that it wasn't the "bloodbath" that some people had been saying.
Just a guess, but if the club were planning on seeling him would they not have tried to keep it quiet?
Yep. Apparently Osvaldo tried to spin-off Fonte with the ball, Fonte tripped him and Dani just saw red and went for him. Odd. I can only imagine that it had been building up beforehand,
