Osvaldo just posted a picture on Instagram from what looks like Weston Shore, looking across Southampton Water towards Dock head with the text (in Italian) of "who knew...." please log in to view this image Cryptic. (edit, have added Osvaldo's pic)
For him to be suspended you have to believe that it was completely justified. Either way he has conducted himself in a way that the club 'considers a breach of the conduct expected of its players.' That;'s enough for me. His behavior at Newcastle was a joke. Move him on.
Probably the same things for his previous temper flare-ups. He's a hot head who doesn't think before he lashes out. Could have been Fonte just giving him a heavy challenge, or a bit of a ribbing, or he could have called him an "overpaid ****".
Well we knew this was a very real possibility when we bought him. He's ****ed up big time, no doubt about it, but some people are far too quick to want him kicked out. If does this again that will probably be the end of Osvaldo here but everyone deserves 2nd chances.
He's a kid. Most of them are; they haven't had any normal adult life at any point. Staplewood is about half a mile from the Priory. Get him in there for some anger management training (probably CBT which trains you to think before acting) and MANAGE the problem. Just dumping him solves nothing at all. Were none of you ever told that running away form a problem doesn't solve it? And on a more positive front, if they can calm him down, his life improves and he will be eternally grateful to the team that helped him rather than just selling him like all the others seem to have done. That buys loyalty. Vin
Fonte told him that just because Keith Richards was in Pirates Of The Caribbean, obsessively following the Rolling Stones would not get him any closer to becoming a 'real' pirate. That warranted the headbutt. My sources tell me that it was his follow up comments about Justin Bieber having more longevity than the Rolling Stones was what caused the punch.
If true, there is no way back for him IMO....Jose is a popular figure within the squad and also in the stands and Dani has simply not been here long enough to build any popularity. If this had been an isolated incident, then I think that it would be forgiven but the guy clearly has temperament "issues" and is not fully in control and could blow at any point, which would make him an obvious suspension risk as oppo's players would surely try to wind him up at every opportunity. There comes a point when you have to ask do the positives outweigh the negatives in having him at the club and the answer, sadly, is no. Edit: if he hasn't learned to curb his temper at the age of 28 and to be responsible for the sake of the club, then I think he will be like a time bomb and this kind of incident will surely happen again.
