I reckon Fonte could hold his own anyway, Dani should be glad Jose's best mate Dejan wasn't there, he'd have battered him. Being serious, I expect a training tackle from Fonte produced well over the top reaction from dear old Dani. Pure speculation, it's either that or the tree.
It does beg the question, just what is wrong with the fella? Another high profile suspension after the FA fined him £40k, but there has been other incidents as well. Why does he always feel the need to get involved. At the end of the Villa game I watched him getting in the thick of it, for a incident that had nothing to do with him. Its like he enjoys the controversy, or is he just doing his bit for charity with the fines? God knows, but I'm growing tired of the headlines.
MP knows him well so knew what he was getting. Will be interesting to see what happens next. One thing though I'm pretty sure we would have found out about this two weeks ago through leaks rather than direct from the club. That's a good sign.
It just confirms what we already knew about Osvaldo and his history of ill-temperament. The media will love this "big meltdown at the saints following Nicola's departure" angle. It was Osvaldo ffs. I don't think it had anything to do with Cortese leaving or a problem with team spirit and unity but it isn't hard for the media to dress it up that way. If it was JWP or Lallana I would be more concerned.
