He did get fined two weeks' wages by Liverpool (the maximum allowed), though as you say, I can't find any reference to a fine by the premier league/FA. Personally I think the fine for Osvaldo is proportionate. He had no business whatsoever getting involved and the fine reflects that.
The timings seems to have got confused, he had until 23rd December to appeal the charge, the "injury" was done in training after this, so isn't relevant to the outcome.
Sorry for asking , but I still can't get my head around the fine . Was it part of the Ban , or as punishment for the appeal ?
Sometimes you get an increased punishment if you appeal without good cause, so doesn't necessarily happen. However, he hadn't been found guilty and then we appealed....Saints just said they would appeal before the hearing, so suspect this is just the punishment.
Just announced that Osvaldo has been suspended by the club for a further two weeks after "an incident at the training ground". Seems a bit of a liability to be honest. How many games has he missed now? Have to give him credit though, he has a knack for timing these things so he never has to play.
