Don't know what else to say. Its party time at the SOL and a Wembley Final again to get all excited about. 10/10 to the team and to Gus for holding their nerves and fighting right to the bitter end. Time to dust down the flags, the rosettes, the daft hats and the silk Stokoes Stars scarves again. We're only going to friggin Wembley again.
Proud day Cest. To the team, management, Ellis, the fans, Quinny, Bally, Monty, ****ing anything and everyone associated with SAFC I'm ****ing proud of ya! That means you to Cest
I still dont quite believe it i have nothing to compare it too. I was there against charlton but this is different this is a proper cup final!!
Wouldn't have given a jack **** chance of a Wembley final in the last few weeks of PDCs rule. It just goes to show, what a crazy ****ing game this is! The problem I personally have is I can't get past the **** we are in the league! WE HAVE TO TURN OUR CUP PERFORMANCES INTO LEAGUE RESULTS!!!!!!!
Cest man, I'm in Aycliffe and all the plastic Geordies are now Red and White ! (or on their way). Fu*k All Mags, we will hit the new Wembley with 40,000. Play Kevin Ball as the World Cup bound will bottle all ! Lets get hit up em and win it !!!!!!!!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS guy's I am honestly well fookin CHUFFED for you, you are real fans. Stuck it to Utd et all.... Well done enjoy you day at Wemberleeeeeee Pott's
Oh yeah I was hoping you wouldn't mention that game.. The only positive I could take IF we lost is, you still won't be above us!
We could have tired legs, game on Saturday too. Our festive programme still hasn't ended in term of games thick and fast.
Perhaps the likes of Ba, Karlsson, Vergini, Roberge, Altidore, Celustka, Ustari, Watmore, LArsson and Gardner will play and rest the first team? Against Kidderminster we don't want to risk injury or tiredness for the game on Wednesday imo. Stoke game more important now.
Ok, humbled and left with more questions than answers from a United fan's point of view. Let's be honest, United never looked like winning that game even with a couple of minutes to go in injury time, before De Gea's flap. We lacked creativity all match, Januzaj has been relied on so much he's got it in his head that he has to do it all on his own. We didn't mathematically NEED a goal after Evans scored so we again, tried to do the bare minimum to progress and again, it backfired like it has so many times this season. It was a depressing performance from a team we're all supposed to call 'The Current Champions'. It wasn't just the case of United not turning up though, Poyet had you lot set up perfectly to handle what Moyes had in store. Sunderland have been credited with their 'slice of good fortune' but not for me, De Gea would have fluffed that 99 times out of 100 simply because of the pressure United were under, not just from Sunderland but from themselves. Sunderland sensed that nervousness and punished United. After we went 2-1 in front, it made no odds, we weren't in any state to win a penalty shootout. Here's where I think the main difference was, and it brings to me to make you all aware of an unsung hero amongst your ranks... Paolo Di Canio. The difference in fitness between our two sides was miles apart, where Moyes has us looking like the players have just finished the London Marathon after 20 pints and pie and chips, the discipline in fitness that Di Canio installed at your club is paying dividends. I knew as soon as I watched Fletcher and Hernandez fatigue badly towards the end of 90 minutes, it was over for United, you lot didn't look tired at all (although I bet they hurt today). What a great team effort, United could learn a lot from you lot. Sorry it's a bit long winded but I hope they're all valid points, you thoroughly deserve your place in the final at Wembley and I will certainly be right behind you in the final against City. Good luck lads, as an away crowd it's as good as I've seen at Old Trafford.
who shall we thank for our fitness levels to come through this semi final. ? this time last season we hardly got through a game at all, seems to coincide with fewer injuries as well
I had this discussion with my son as we wandered back home from the SoL @ 01:30 and came to that conclusion as well. With respect to Kiddie we should be able to field some of the 'fringe' players - Gards, Lars, Giacc ( though don't think he should be fringe!) etc as well as blood Ustani as a side that should be capable of progressing to round 5 - and give most of the players from last night some well earned.
Got to say this is a very good point and PDC should be given a nod, there is no doubt are players are the fittest they have ever been.
