    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...iss-Cisse-set-talks-Besiktas-loan-switch.html

Besiktas will hold talks over a loan move for Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse on Thursday.

Alan Pardew is ready let the Senegal international leave St James' Park this month, but wants in the region of £10million.

Sportsmail can reveal Turkish club Besiktas, managed by former West Ham defender Slaven Bilic, are showing an interest in taking the Newcastle striker on loan until the end of the season.

Newcastle may want £10million for Papiss Cisse but his form this season does not justify that valuation.

In 18 matches in this campaign he has scored three goals - and only one of those came in the Premier League, a penalty against Stoke on Boxing Day.

The other two were in the Capital One Cup against Leeds and the FA Cup against Cardiff.
    .
And UK-based deal-fixer Muzzi Ozcan, who has close links with Turkey's top clubs, will fly to Istanbul on Thursday in an attempt to broker a move.

Besiktas chairman Fikret Orman wants to land a top-name signing this month having missed on Ronaldinho, who after looking set to join the Turkish club penned a new contract at Atletico Mineiro.

Cisse is one of the names on the club's hit list this month, but whether Newcastle are willing to let him leave on loan is unclear, though the club are certainly listening to offers for permanent transfers.

Newcastle's £10m valuation of the 28-year-old could prove a stumbling block for Besiktas, who are willing to stretch to £7.5m if the North East club refuse to agree to a loan.

Likewise, it is understood Cisse wants a salary of around £3m after tax once he agrees his next permanent move.

Cisse saw a proposed move to Qatari side Al Rayyan collapse last week over Newcastle's asking price, while Pardew has also considered using the striker as a makeweight in their move for Borussia Monchengladbach striker Luuk De Jong.

Cisse has scored just one Barclays Premier League goal this season, a penalty against Stoke on Boxing Day

Agree. Don't see what good a loan will for us at all.

Completely this. We'd be better off playing with no strikers than have Cisse on the pitch the form he's been in. Offside more often than any player I can remember.

Take £7.5m him ONLY if we have a replacement lined up (most likely so far, De Jong £10m). I really like Cisse but his confidence is shot and there's no signs of his Ramadan form returning, we cannot afford to wait around and cross our fingers.

Nowt to do with Cisse, but an update on a previous Toon target***

"Confirmation of an expected deal as Sweden international Ola Toivonen joins Rennes on a three-and-a-half year contract from PSV Eindhoven. Toivonen has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, with the likes of Newcastle United reported to have held an interest in the forward."

PL stats show that Loic Remy has been ruled offside more than any other PL player.

A loan would be pointless. 7.5 mio is good money for him right now though. We can't loose him and have no replacement however we could potentially end up in the summer with only shola as a 'striker' if Cisse left now and we can't keep hold of Remy.

You can guarantee that would not be the case if Cisse had played an equal amount of minutes. When he is on the pitch it seems like every other attack ends up with Cisse offside - it wastes countless good opportunities and is extremely frustrating.

It's such a shame that the player we thought we had after the first 6 months turned out to be so ill suited to the number 9 shirt.

I'd take it now if it meant we could pay for Remy now, but that doesn't seem to have been touted about anywhere :(

Get shot, never scores doesn't care. If he could shoot we could have been playing Sunderland at the League Cup final.

I don't think that NUFC will be buying a replacement. Ashley seems to be hell bent running a club stuffed with loanees.

A full house for almost every game, Ashley's quite happy to just sit back and count the cash.

Nothing against getting player in on loan, good get out clause if they are rubbish.

I am surprised at that as Shola is normally offside even when he is driving to the game, even if he had only played 15 minutes I would expect him to be top.

What if we let Cisse go and still don't bring in a replacement? This could easily happen. The only striker we have left is Shola who isn't and has never been a ****ing option.

    We don't need Shola anymore.

We've got a new Mackemslayer now in young Jonathyn Quinn.
