They are lining up Striker Danny Graham is wanted on loan by Nottingham Forest. The 28-year-old is due back at Sunderland from a loan spell with Hull before the end of the transfer window. Graham arrived at Hull full of hope after a barren run in front of goal, but has scored just once in 18 appearances. On top of that, Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long have arrived at Hull from Everton and West Bromwich Albion respectively. Bolton boss Dougie Freedman wants Sunderland striker Danny Graham to give his shocked side a major boost. Freedman hopes to agree a loan deal for the proven marksman who is currently on loan at Hull City but will now be unlikely to play. Graham can be recalled by the Black Cats and sent out to Bolton - or even bizarrely loaned from the Tigers. Fiorentina Could Move For Sunderland’s Emanuele Giaccherini Emanuele Giaccherini - SunderlandFiorentina are said to be targeting a summer move for Sunderland midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini. The former Juventus man only joined Sunderland this summer for a fee of around €7 million, however with the recent departure of Sunderland’s director of football Roberto De Fanti Giaccherini’s future has been thrown up into the air. According to Florence based newspaper La Nazione, Fiorentina could make an initial enquiry in this transfer window for Giaccherini’s services and then follow this up with a bid in the summer. With the expiring contracts of David Pizarro and Marco Ambrosini, La Viola could be planning in advance for their possible departures. Giaccherini has featured in 17 league games for Sunderland this season and has two goals to his name. http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2014/01/fiorentina-could-move-for-sunderlands-emanuele-giaccherini/?
Sunderland don't seem to have had much luck this season and that seems to have been typified by reports coming out of Turkey this morning which claim a deal had been struck for Portuguese sensation Bruma, only for the player to suffer a serious knee injury which will keep him out for the rest of the season. According to the report, Sunderland had agreed to sign the 19-year-old winger on loan until the end of the season (with an option to make the move permanent for €17m), due in part to the foreign quota in Turkish football limiting his appearances, when he suffered the knee injury in a cup game against Tokatspor. Roberto Mancini had given his blessing to the transfer and the player was preparing to go to England when he ruptured his ligaments. This will obviously be a huge blow to a player who was hoping to go to the World Cup in the summer and a big blow to Sunderland who would have pulled off a huge coup had they signed the exciting winger who has been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG all reportedly made bids in the summer before he signed for Turkish giants Galatasaray. Oscar Ustari - anybody know if he's any good? He scored a penalty for Independiente. Maybe we should have signed this keeper and play him up front
Fulhamâs Derek Boateng could make loan move, Ignacio Scocco deal not dead and Oscar Ustari bolsters goalkeeping options Defensive midfielder Derek Boateng could arrive at the Stadium of Light on a loan deal until the end of the season, according to the Metro. The journeyman Ghanaian has struggled to make an impact at Fulham this season and is desperate to add to his 46 caps by making his countryâs squad for World Cup 2014. He had previously been linked with Watford and French club Evian but Gus Poyetâs men can offer Premier League football and the feel-good factor surrounding the club after they reached the Capital One Cup final. Boateng has previously played for clubs in Greece, Israel, Germany, Spain and Ukraine and Sunderland would be his 10th professional team at the age of 30. Ignacio Scocco could yet arrive at the Stadium of Light, according to the Mirror. The 28-year-old Argentine appeared more likely to head to Cardiff City earlier in the week, but Sunderland hope their Capital One Cup final appearance could help lure the attacking midfielder to the North East. Scocco is almost certain to leave Brazilian club Internacional this week, and Poyet hopes to secure him either on loan or on a £6.5million permanent deal. The former Newellâs Old Boys man would provide a huge boost to Sunderlandâs attacking options as he netted 24 goals in 33 league games for the Argentinian side while on loan last season. Goalkeeper Oscar Ustari completed his move to Sunderland on Tuesday in time to make it onto the bench for the match at Old Trafford on Wednesday. ESPN report that the 27-year-old has arrived on a short-term deal until the end of the season after Almeria agreed to release him. Ustari has two caps for Argentina and previously enjoyed a five-year spell at La Liga club Getafe after starting off at Argentinian giants Independiente. His career has somewhat faltered after a promising start when he played a key role as Argentina won the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2005. He is the second Argentine to arrive this transfer window after Santiago Vergini. One man being linked with a move away from Sunderland is Emanuele Giaccherini, who is being targeted by Fiorentina, according to TalkSport. The Black Cats wonât sell the Italy international in January but the Florence side are hoping to capture him in the summer. Stoke City are eyeing up a move for Lee Cattermole, according to the Stoke Sentinel. The 25-year-old midfield hard man could command a fee as high as £5million but Mark Hughes is keen to bring him to the Britannia Stadium. Cattermole has made 104 appearances for Sunderland since arriving from Wigan Athletic in 2009 but is perhaps no longer as central to the clubâs plans as he once was. Crystal Palace look likely to beat Sunderland to the signing of Brightonâs Will Buckley, according to the Mirror. Poyet was apparently interested in bringing his former player to the Stadium of Light, but he is still in with a chance of landing Buckleyâs team-mate Liam Bridcutt although nothing has yet been confirmed. The Uruguayan manager has ruled out a move for his own son Diego Poyet, currently at Charlton Athletic, according to the Sunderland Echo. The 18-year-old made his debut for the Addicks in their FA Cup tie with Oxford United but Poyet snr said: âIâve seen the rumour about Diego, my son. But why would I want to sign my son? Heâs at Charlton, just made his debut, heâs only 18. Itâs going really well for him there.â Finally the Journal report that Jack Colback could be tied down to a long-term deal soon and the BBC have confirmed that 21-year-old Billy Knott has moved to Port Vale on loan for the rest of the campaign. Bollocks of course because we can't loan anybody else on long term loans.
