What do you expect ? Brownie is doing the "Swanny" role for them. It will be a good day out and back to an old fashioned lower league ground. For those who are going for the first time (lol) well dont expect much. Loads of fish and chip shops around the place from memory especially the sea front.
Got to get some use out of that head set mic. I hope they've got the cough button ready for if he does a Pardew on the touchline.
http://www.southendunited.co.uk/news/article/220114-full-for-hull-1310378.aspx PL Hull City are a real attraction in Southend.
I wonder if with our smaller than the stand allocation not having sold out they're getting to have some of the away end as well.
I wondered that, but as they've announced it as sold out, with 9,000 tickets sold, it looks like the away end will only be half full.
Looks like they're going to have around 900 seats segregation with the 600 unallocated tickets in the away end plus the 300 or so in the corner section. Seems ridiculous to me for a small ground.
Whatever the final takings are it is split 3 ways. You - us and FA. Shame a Live TV fee was not included. Good Luck after saturday. The away end used to hold 2248 but has been cut down to 2000 by the Elf n safety sealots. But Hull City have only been given 1750 tickets for the game with less than 300 left as of today. Southend have a waiting list for any unSold tickets so it is going to be a jam packed ground. Thankfully we can STAND as the leg room is for small people only. Check this out www.tothe92.co.uk/groundguide/southend.html Away end is to the right of the picture. I assume that the away area is the blue seats and the yellow seats are for any overspill or home fans when away fans are small in numbers. The official ground capacity is showing at 12,392 (all seated)
Looks like Sports Net World in Canada is showing most of the Cup games on Saturday starting with Bournemouth v Liverpool live at 4.30 am West Coast time. Our game is on delay at 11.30 here. Tomorrow they are showing Arsenal v Coventry live.
