Aye probably. There's no money in the cups, only winners (and FA Cup runners up) are rewarded so I'm sure Pards was instructed to focus on the league by MA due to the fact each position is worth about a million. It's a crying shame because if we'd bothered we could have tried going on a little run but it obviously wasn't seen as worth the risk. Genuinely, best of luck in the cups. So long as you don't nick the Europa spot that would otherwise be passed onto league finishes it's good to see a NE club representing.
There's a thread on our board about this, and to my dismay and surprise, it seems most black and whites want sunderland to go through! Unbelievable! Do you think the mackems would want us to go through? Would they ****! I may be in a minority, but I hope they get a good stuffing tonight.
