my local bookie would only allow sp on the four races concerned!!

Anyhow--Don Cantillon is 'defending ' a 100% success rate in hurdles at Southwell with Truckers Darling--his form three runs ago with Down Ace stands up--he is up in trip and i notice has been nibbled in the market...2 55 Race !!

I have backed Nassau Storm and put it up on here the last twice, today however I back Compton who gets turned over by Nassau storm who wins at 7-1 unbacked. enough to make you despair this game.

    News just in .....................
Annie Power runs at Donny on Saturday and the race has been moved forward to allow Ruby Walsh the time to ride Annie Power and then fly to Cheltz and ride Boston Bob in the Cleeve Hurdle against his old friend Big Bucks.

I was laughing earlier but thinking about what has happened today, it doesnt really look good for racing and it makes people who bet on horses look a bit stupid.

Good to see the bookies get done but most of the big boys who dont play the night before dodged the bullets and after the first two went in the others were cut to 1/3 so how much are the bookies actually going to lose? Probably the not the millions they will tell the press.

Any punters who bet in those races before the strokes became apparent have effectively been robbed. 4 horses completely tailed off and not run for years suddenly hacking up on the same day.

Can imagine if something like this happened in Japan or France the trainers, jockeys and owners involved would probably get lifetime bans.

Fair play to those behind it if they pull off the 4rth, hope they get paid and our racing allows this kind of thing to happen so they may as well go for it if they can get away with it, stweards accept bullshit excuses everyday of the week, 50% of AW runners not trying and nothing ever gets done about it.

I know the little man got no value today in curley's sting today but it does make me smile when the bookies well and truly get their pants taken down.....serves them right as they have treated me unfairly on more than one occasion so although some may think I'm wrong 3 cheers for the sting hip hip.....;)
