If we lose Nolan and Barton...

  1. Who do you think the biggest figures will be in the dressing room?

I think Taylor and Coloccini really now both have to step up as leaders.

Coloccini is older than Barton and Nolan, and is a massive part of the team. He's played a big part and was one of our players of the season.

Taylor is a local lad, big and strong. If he keeps off the injury table, he should keep the level of performances up, and become a leader himself.

We need someone to step into their shoes. I have no doubt we can replace the quality, but the leadership, guidance and feeling may start to exit as more players start to leave.

Stevey Taylor and Coloccini are probably our future leaders. Agreed?

Forgot to include Harper in your list, but other than him I only see Taylor as the leader type. Of course things could be very different in the actual dressing room, even the quiet types who don't look like leaders to the fans could be a huge influence in there.

I think Tiote and Saylor will. Depending on who we sign and how quickly they settle in, it might be some of the new players.

If we lose Barton, I reckon Tayls will be made Captain. If not, then Joey will get the captaincy

It may be that Fat Boy is trying to get rid of all the 'leaders' - all those who have a bit of standing with players and fans. Remember Josef Stalin and what he did to those who were too popular? It's not too far-fetched.

Cabaye is probably a leader figure, CM's usually are. Agree about Saylor though, not sure about Collo.

    True.

But he's very popular with the ladies and that's a sure sign of leadership.

If someone continually made love to the woman I planned on spending the rest of my life with I'd probably stop listening to his semi-English leader's speach.

He offered Cashley a sausage roll and a place on his Christams card list. What more could he want, and tasty snack and illusions that somebody likes him...

That explains it. I though it was impossible for a normal human to combine such footballing prowess with gobsmackingly good looks.
