Hardly, 50/50 then. The name change will go through unless the OSC strongly protests against it, in my opinion.
if the decision goes against cwtd that is their only face-saving option - set up a new club against allam. as I am certain none of these 1600 supporters of cwtd will want anything to to do with Hull Tigers
Can't see them doing that even if it's a NO vote.1381 members couldn't be bothered on the previous vote which had a majority of Nos including mine,
I doubt the numbers will be that much of a factor, and the lack of consultation from the club tells its own story there. My guess is the decision will be based on more discrete issues self interest.
Last ever name change Benny before I ride into the sunset.Surrounded by people condoning theft (or at least refusing to condemn it) is really not where I wish to spend my time tbh. I see AA being questioned about his motives for giving away a fortune and yet to question the public gesture of another is obnoxious.Too much hypocrisy-esp from some of the campaign leaders.I will be leaving you to your self congratulations and bullying and the moral bankruptcy of the "thieves"-you know who they are. (There are still some decent types capable of not joining the mob) .So I will be leaving.......but not just yet
At the minute the Old Man is right, as it is only the minority who are strongly against it. There must be around 40,000 City fans, whether it be die hards or casual, so it's only around 4% by my very rough approximations. With the recent signings too, it's difficult to see the number of protesters rising significantly.
The hard reality is the vast majority of hardcore, long attending, big spending, away traveling long term committed fans are strongly against the name change. How have I arrived at this decision? Two ways, firstly listen to the vocals away from home, second, look at the HCSS poll results. Caveat - I am not saying if you are all of the above you can not be in favor or impartial, I am not questioning anyone as a fan, just saying that if we get relegated 3 times in a row and spend 10 years in division 3 the profile of the remaining fans will be well over 90% of whom were against in my opinion. I think many share this opinion, the next question is how can we prove this profile breakdown, does it hold any value to the FA and decision makers. Does the vote of a season pass holder for 1 season in the premier league hold the same weight as a lifer for 30 years? if so should it?

I have been a supporter since 1975 and I don't give a toss about the name. I will get my pass next season. Doesn't matter what we are officially called or what division we are in. I will always refer to them as 'city' anyway.
did you read my post, I explained it was based on polls and my opinion, how do you think election pols work, it's about finding a good sample group. Why don't you like HCSS as a sample group? Other than 90% of them were against the change? I would say a group of long distance fans who still wish to associate with their hometown club are a reasonable bunch to base a sample on? Heck if anything they remove the City Council bias as well.
blimey, mostyn, it's only four letters, you know what they stand for and you still can't put them in the right order. it'll be that dodgy keyboard of yours, right? or predictive text?
