Hi All, Long time reader, first time poster! Have been a season ticket holder in the paddocks for many years and am missing the home game against Reading on Feb 16th, my first in ages as i'll be in New York on a weeks holiday. Just wondering if any of you know a good place to watch the game on the Sunday. Im staying at the Edison Hotel which is on Times Square.
Welcome Nelson. My wife and son were in NY last year and wanted to seek out a bar where they could watch the City away game - well my son did anyway. They eventually found an Irish bar near Wall Street that was showing the game - a bit of a trek from Times Square admittedly. I'll come back to you with the name of the bar if no-one comes up with a better option. BTW, the barman turned out to be a QPR fan.
Welcome to our board Nelson, this article may help. http://6thfloor.blogs.nytimes.com/2...-british-football/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=0 Queens Park Rangers: Devotees of this new addition to the Premier League congregate at Veronica’s Bar, 34-04 36th Avenue, in Queens.
Thanks for the help guys! I do appreciate the fact we're in the Championship doesn't help but thought that the fact the game is on Sky Sports might help. Thanks for the link Nines.
I watched the QPR game against Manchester United when Derry was sent of, in some kind of Irish pub on or just off Times Square. Can't remember the name. But just try and do a google search beforehand.
Every Premiership game is shown here on the NBC network, Some FA cup games are shown on Fox. I've lived here for some 30 years and have never seen a Championship game, however you never know in the future. Come back next year when they will be on.
QPRNY, I was a little disappointed that Fox didn't pick up at least some of the Championship games after they lost the Premiership rights...
Welcome Nelson , thought you was my brother for a moment ,he's name is Robert Nelson (Nelson r ) like me he is a rangers fan ,when I was in New York l couldn't find a bar to watch the superheroes .
