Not one poster has asked the question: where has the additional SKY income gone? Presumably into the Coates family bank account.

Browsing this board is depressing in that constructive criticism is trashed...your not a 'Proper Fan'. Utter rubbish.

Ricc you sound like an hysterical sub teen girl, if no one likes your favourite boy band you squeal blue murder. If you do have access to a dictionary look up the word 'discussion' - you may be surprised. You have been 'dishing it out' for too long. So just stop it right now and don't even think about crossing swords with me. I will devise many ways to humiliate you.

Waddo and Crazy...I'm with you guys - the axis of evil no less. As for the rest of you, you would do best to remember the old adage...'be careful what you wish for'

    Bye for now

Great point and it makes you wonder if Coates has just decided to pocket the profits and hope for the best. It's easy to assume that the coffers were well and truly spent, but to have no money to spend....that does seem strange to me. Maybe it's the wage bill and the financial FairPlay, I don't know?

on a separate not - welcome back Nik.

I think that disaster at QPR might have something to do with it too, although after making some sensible moves in the summer I thought Hughes might get some cash to play with this time round.

You would like to think so, in general the additions Hughes and the Director of Football have made have been for the better, so you would like to think there would be some budget? Maybe it's a case of one out one in, and until someone shows an interest in our players there is simply no room.

Pulis got 2 wins fron christmas till the end of the season, yes I wished for him to go and rightly so. This season has been the best apart from the first season in the prem. Noone posts on here when we play well etc only when we lose, I dont mind discussion but this forum has gone, we never seem to discuss anything positive and if we do the hughes out brigade comes out in force. I feel like there are only a few people on here that want us to do well
As for your threat................oh dear. This is definitlely my last post, I wish you all good health but coming on here is depressing as it gets. Bye all

Some say he sees the game already played - 3 years in advance.
Some say he can eat a piping hot Balti Pie in one single bite, without chewing or digesting!
Some say his wit is that sharp that he once cut off his own penis!
Some say that the said Penis was then stitched to TP's head in the dead of night and this is why he always wears a cap!
Some say he is Yoda's brother and has the capability to influence the speech of others!
Some say he died on the appointment of Hughes after being resuscitated several times under the TP era!
Some say he was self resurrected on the 1st transfer window and was .....bornagain.....

Welcome back and hopefully we can raise some debate with all posters moving forward! Don't like the thought of the old guard feeling unwanted and willing to contribute.

Thanks pal...it really has bugged me for some time now and I still don't have the answer.

Given the fact that the Coates family are extremely astute business people and bookmakers to boot.
How come they gave/let Pulis blow £100 million, basically on rubbish with zero resale value.

They would be the only bookies in Christendom to throw money away.

    And the answer is...............

It's not a conspiracy theory - honest guv!!

    The truth is out there

    Welcome back Nicky <ok>
My two pennies worth is simple enough, and I'm talking to every poster on here, not just Nickyb.
I NEVER wanted Hughes in the first place but, like Ric I hated what Pulis was doing and maybe? just maybe he still is.

taking into account MH s signings he is basically asking a bunch of the player's Pulis brought in to play a different way and it's working in one sense but you simple can not teach an old dog or dogs new tricks. Asking Whelan, etc to PASS a BALL to thine own player is it seems to difficult for him and others to understand and even worse to carry out the said instructions. A GD of -14 is bad enough but one would assume that, we now try and play a more expansive/attacking game it's not working often enough. Results to date prove that. Goals win games but so does a solid defence. TBH with Huth missing we are up **** street because even Ryan is looking half the player he did under Pulis. NOT Ryans fault IMO because he is after all a centre half now being asked to not HOOF the ball but play it to Whelan and or N'Zonzi neither or whom have yet to score this season. They simply pass sideways or backwards because they are not IMO good enough and never will be.

Hughes is playing with mostly Pulis's player's and it's not doing him any favours. Will Coates give Hughes any money as yet it looks like he won't. So all I can say is as a FORUM we do as we did under Pulis and STICK with/behind the player's and of course Hughes because WE HAVE TO!

I agree with Ric having seen most of our games all at home and a few away games we are playing better football, but the old saying is. "If you don't score enough or more than your opponents there is only one outcome we lose" Strange this but I am actually enjoying this football under Hughes far more than I EVER did under Pulis.
And God forbid the worst happens and we went down then so be it. I said this just after he was appointed and I still stand by that.

AS I always have said in the past KTF one and all. I honestly and truly believe we will not go down. We need to STAY together as do the fans who go to the games.
Even though that man has gone, the TEAM still need US.

Hi Potts, hope you are feeling better mate and Chris is well?

My beef isn't about Hughes, I have made my feelings about him abundantly clear about him and am not going to mention him again.

I am more concerned about the money.

Oh and ricc baby had it coming to him, I detested his posts to SIS.
If you give it you gotta take, in my book.

    Great post

Re the money - I thought I had read that the Coates family have invested the 80mil outlay until now. Also, that the son and daughter hold the purse strings now. Maybe that's why the well has run dry

Damn right Zoz, but how much monies have the club received from SKY over the past 4 or 5 seasons...I must find out.

AND the sponsorship monies, plus the sponsorship from Bet365, perhaps uts all a tax loss!!

    Nothing illegal eh?

The fact that Hughes might not get any funds is not the fault of MH though is it? He gave the Oh so might one over 100 million and that is what MH is left with apart from Ireland and Assaidi TWO great signings when you consider the utter crap we've had in the past and he is trying to KEEP UP this season.

Hope you and yours are well Nicky we're all fine thanks <ok>

No it's not his fault - I think that he's suffering from the Coates family feeling that they want to recoup some of their investments made under Pulis.

There was an article the other day (possibly the Sentinel, not sure) in which Hughes says he has pursued several players but the deals have fallen down. Makes me wonder if he has got some cash but is struggling to attract players that we want.
