Well thank you although I think 'competing for Europe' might be just a teeny tiny bit beyond our capabilities right now. Best of luck for finishing above the Mancs.
Too early say competing, main aim for me is to finish above Southampton right now, then aim to get above one of Man Utd, Liverpool, Everton or Tottenham.
Fifth gets you Europa and if Man City win both League and FA cup then 5,6,7th place get the competition. Can easily see you finishing that high.
Yep, I'm a City fan for the League Cup Final and happily supporting Chelsea, Arsenal and City for the FA Cup. 7th is probably our best possible finish, depending on what Man U do in the next 10 days of the transfer window.
Am I right in thinking that a losing cup finalist still qualifies for Europa if they are beaten by a team that qualifies for the Champions League? or did I dream that up? If true, then I'll definitely be cheering on Manure tomorrow - for one night only. Otherwise our 'friends' will be in Yewrope!
I don't know, think of the hilarity. They'd draw Tre Fiori of San Marino and depart at the first hurdle. Anyway the League Cup is so minor it doesn't even reward you with a Europa Place if you are runners up. Would that not be nice them getting to a final, Citeh winning that, the league and the FA Cup, we get a decent finish and take our place in European competition once again while they look for another new manager? I think Man U will do them tomorrow but I kinda hope they get to the final and Man C marmalise them so we can see some tears. I'm sure it will be listed in their minds as just a "great day out" though rather than a pointless exercise which aided their relegation.
i want them out tomorrow, i know it's highly unlikely they would beat man c but they do seem to have a bit of a hoodoo over them!
