From Skysports transfer blog 7:40 Another line from the Daily Mirror is that Bolton boss Dougie Freedman wants Sunderland striker Danny Graham, who is on loan at Hull City. Grahamâs future has been the subject of a lot of speculation and he has also been linked with a move to Middlesbrough. Let's hope so!
What do we reckon he's on - 40k a week perhaps? I know Sunlan are desperate to keep him off their wage bill so it must be a fair wedge. If we can get him, Hobbs, Gedo, Prosser, Mclean and Cairney off the wage bill this window they should cover the 2 we've brought in. That has to be a good deal really as we had far too many average players and it would make me less worried about the huge salary outlay on Jelly and Long.
SSN said that if Sunderland don't recall him, we can send him out on loan. I'm not sure how this works but if it's true then we'd have to pay part of the wages!!
Isn't there such a thing as a re-loan? Seem to have heard about it somewhere, though i could have just imagined it.
I'm not aware of a single case of a player going out on loan and then being re-loaned to someone else and I follow such things.
Maybe the confusion is fed by this article. Quote: Graham can be recalled by the Black Cats and sent out to Bolton - or even bizarrely loaned from the Tigers. Bolton are looking into both options and would like the deal done fast to give them more firepower. Unquote: http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...ry-20th-Jean/story-20467089-detail/story.html
BBC, I totally agree I was thinking the same, we were worried of the cost of people coming in without thinking of the ones going out. We could break even & not have too much concern re the outlay.
Does it matter anyway ? He cannot play for us in the FAC games and he has dropped down the pecking order for the PL. Might as well let him go back to Slumberland or wherever. Interesting that the Mackems will be without Steven Fletcher for a while. Another sick note,.
http://buzztap.com/-t7RwR3 Transfer window: Nottingham Forest close in on Danny Graham Nottingham Forest are close to signing Danny Graham on loan from Sunderland, BBC East Midlands Today reports. The 28-year-old is on a season-long loan at Hull City, but has not featured since 1 January and was not in their squad for Saturday's defeat at Norwich. The former Watford and Swansea man has managed just one goal in 19 appearances for the Tigers. Forest are currently fifth in the Championship, eight points off the automatic promotion places.
I am just saying like, but would it be possible for 2 clubs to come to an agreement, whereby on paper they agree to sell a player to another club, with a separate contract to buy him back at the same price at the end of a set period?
Update; Skysports Transfer Centre blog 9:58 We are hearing Nottingham Forest are in talks to sign Sunderland striker Danny Graham on loan. Graham is currently on loan at Hull City, but Steve Bruce is thought to be willing to cut short his loan stay at the KC Stadium following the recent arrivals of Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic. A number of Sky Bet Championship clubs have expressed an interest in signing Graham, but Forest are in pole position to land the former Swansea hit-man as they look to bolster their promotion bid. Edit: This via BBC http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...-wanderers-move-for-the-hull-loaner-1-6385780 Seems Bolton have made a bid.
That's what Real Madrid did with Negredo (around the time we were linked), only they did it on the basis they could back out of buying him back if they chose to. I assume you're looking at it as a way of avoiding the loan spot being used up by us agreeing to sign a player now with his current club agreeing to buy him back in the summer. I'm sure there's a rule about not being able to return to the same club within 12 months of leaving but I'd have to go and look it up.
Watford it last year with a player I think, he joined on loan from Udinese, then went to Doncaster or somebody. Mujangi Bia I think it was. So it is allowed somehow.
