According to Sky Sports Neil Lennon has denied reports linking him to a move for Robert Snodgrass. It has been suggested that Celtic are interested in bringing Snodgrass back to Scotland. On the Snodgrass rumour Lennon said "There's nothing in that I'm going to get linked with a lot of players but I'm not going to talk about players who are contracted to other clubs" However it is also rumoured that Lennon may not have to make a move for Snodgrass as he is a leading contender to take over the reigns at Carrow Road should Norwich relieve Chris Hughton from his managerial duties. Lennon, however expects Hughton to be given time to get things rights adding "It's just speculation, but I think they won (against Hull City) so I'm delighted for Chris. I think he'll be safe for another while. He's doing a good job there and keeping them out of the bottom three. "I cannot help the speculation, I'm flatted but he's a good man and a good manager in that job so good luck to him." How many not606ers would like to see Neil Lennon as manager should McNasty relieve Hughton of his duties at Carrow Road and what do you believe he'd bring to the club?
Lennon certainly wasn't on my radar, but has good experience at different levels and a bit of fight about him. A good fit in my opinion.
Didn't Dalglish win the League and F.A. Cup (Double) with Liverpool when he was their manager? Would you hate Lennon if he did the same as Dalglish with City?
The reason i ask is because if you factor out the sectarian stuff, which has contributed significantly both indirectly and directly to controversy, how much ****e is left over
Plenty of people seem to be fed up with snodgrass recently. On a side note what value would people accept for him if a bid was to come in? Not sure what he's worth really, but if we got more than we paid for hooper off celtic I think that'd be a good piece of business personally
TBF - I really hope that it all works out with CH in charge. But if it didn't - I think Lennon would bring a bit of guile into the management.
Lennon would probably be worth a go if the time came (he's hardly the worst person to replace Hughton anyway) but for now lets not worry about our next manager until we actually need to. Hughton isn't going to be replaced until at least the summer, and if he can finally make it all click into place consistently then that's all that matters (even though I will admit that my patience has begun to wear itself thin recently)
I was just offering a possible reason for why people hate him.Personally I would say MartinMcGuinness or Ian Paisley would be alright as long as they could do the job.Ian's cousin did ok at Liverpool.
Certainly wouldn't be the worst option if Lennon came in. Re Snodgrass, while he has been no where near his best he's still probably been our best attacking option this season. Not consistently but enough times for it to matter. I wouldn't want him sold at any price, certainly not now.
I dislike Lennon but it is something that I cannot really explain. I don't find him likeable and do not feel he is a Norwich type of character. This is rubbish and I ams topping now - sorry!
People seem to be forgetting that amazing goal he scored from a free kick in the West Ham game, that's the kind of quality he is capable of and he's getting back to his usual form. Closer with each game imo.
