Thanks for taking your feet of the gas. Means they won't sack Moyes and the fun will carry on a while longer yet.
won't lie, i didn't enjoy that as much as i thought i would lol, kind of like kicking a guy when he's down!!!
Somethings seriously wrong at UTD, cardiff came to the bridge and gave us a better game than that lot today, their players really need to pull their fingers out. (just not this year).
Fair play to their fans though. They were singing even after they had taken a hiding. Having said that when you have no season left to play for what else can you do?
Chelsea weren't at full speed, but then they didn't need to be. They were as comfortable against United as I can ever remember.
Great result, much needed to keep on Arsenal and Manchester City's tracks. Man Utd started off the better side, but you really couldn't tell. Hearing about the possession stat I was very surprised as despite dominating it, they done nothing with it. Chuffed for Eto'o with his first hat-trick for us and against Man Utd of all teams. The first goal was lucky with the deflection, but it didn't detract from the beauty of the ball finding the net. Man Utd's defence was poor for all three goals and Eto'o is the type who almost always punishes such mistakes. For the third goal he's even being fouled by Valencia and is still left with a tap in. I'm not sure why people are bringing up the fact that two of them came from set pieces. Are they considered cheap ways to score? Sounds ridiculous to me. The whole game we never properly got going and yet it looked like a comfortable win. Unfortunately the game died down a short while after the third goal as we looked like we were happy to keep the scoreline the same until the final whistle and looked sleepy when we conceded. I was disappointed to see Mikel come on as I wanted to see more goals and we could have got them today with how shoddy their defence was looking. He came on to make sure we kept a clean sheet and he ends up being the one playing Hernandez onside and allowing them to get a goal back which gave them hope. His goal scoring record against us is very flattering. Would have rather seen Mata come on, but it looks like he really is out of favour now. As for the decisions, I can see why one would make the argument that Man Utd should have had a penalty for Azpilicueta kicking Welbeck. Although he has caught him just after his shot and the ball's gone, it's irrelevant as a foul is still a foul. Welbeck does make a meal of it however and it even if Azpilicueta does nothing the result is still the ball ending up in Cech's hands. I think Vidic being sent off was harsh, but I can see the referee's reasoning. He's just gone in with the intention of hacking Hazard down. He never has eyes on the ball and even though he has the opportunity to challenge for it, he is more interested in hurting Hazard. I personally would have given a yellow and a strong talking to, but it's very bad for a 32 year old professional and experienced footballer playing at the highest level to do something like that, regardless of the frustration he may have been experiencing. Rafael however should have most definitely received a red. It was two footed with studs showing, so he should have been off. Overall we deserved the win and it has effectively ended any lingering title hopes for Man Utd. Top four is now their league target and even that will be a big ask if Moyes doesn't sort out some of their problems. Their biggest spark today was Januzaj and it's worrying times when you appear so reliant on an inexperienced 18 year old. Of course missing missing van Persie and Rooney certainly doesn't help them, but they have bigger issues elsewhere.
