Just checked trains £162 return Broken down, paying for separate journeys but on the same trains:- My house - Euston £70 return L/pool St - Southend £12 return or £82 Return all in What a load of **** Rail ticketing is. I'm driving now, lad can drive back, I can consume ale. All good.
I really want to go as Roots Hall is a ground ive never been too however im skint till pay day so cant make it! Should be a good atmosphere and game so those who do make it, enjoy the day!

Went when we won there 3-2 on a cold November night in 2006 I think....ironically Phil Brown's 1st game as No 2 to Parkinson. Taxi from C.Wharf where I was attending some conference, to Limehouse station, train to Sarfend. About 50 mins journey. 15 to 20 min walk to Root Halls, couple of pints, fish and chips...2 from Jon boy Parkin and one from ***an..though not sure if Parkin did get two. Can't be arsed to check.
