    I'm with you there...

Making the run... stops in his tracks... takes a step back... All of a sudden he's got himself a wide pocket of space to have the ball pulled back to his feet. Top stuff, not seen a city player move like that for awhile.

I was simply implying that I thought 'Stuart Blampey' doesn't know what he's talking about and that he repeated what the pundits had pointed out on MoD..and then the drunkard barged in thinking I was insulting him. My thoughts are that it was Bruce who got outjumped, Mcgregor made an unusual mistake for him...and yes, there was no one on the back post...so we lost, i'm gutted but the thought of Brady Bunch and and Blampey in bed together 'Morcambe and Wise' style brings a little smile to my face:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Catching up on the comments on here about Howard Webb. During the match we were getting very frustrated with Webb. There seemed to be several occasions when he blew for innocuous challenges and many more where he missed something more blatant. He was also inconsistent in applying carsds.

In short I thought he was showboating and trying to be the center of attention and this helped spoil the game.

I'm not implying that it affected the result. It didn't. Apart from the first few minutes at the begining, and when we woke up after they scored we were second best for the majority of the match and we got what we deserved.

Also, a special mention for Mr Snodrgrass. He ws probably the pick of the what was on show, but If Wilshere's gesture to the crowd warranted a ban, so does Snodrgrass's.

Innocuous fouls... Webb got everything right. That's with having the luxury of replays, different angles, slow motion etc.

From a neutral point of view the only things he got wrong really are Thudds second yellow was a bit soft and Koren should have been booked for taking Snodgrass from behind.

I posted on another thread a couple of weeks ago how mental it is that you can be at the game and think "****ing hell that's blatant, the ref must be genuinely blind, doesn't know the rules or been paid off", then you get home and see the incident again with the luxury of different camera angles and slow motion and it turns out the ref got it completely right.

The commentators noted Webbs performance and gave him very high praise, it wasn't just the decisions he was constantly getting right, every time there was one to be made he was always in the right place to see it properly and make the right call. He genuinely is a top ref and it was nice to see a ref allow the game to flow and players to tackle without blowing up for someone breathing too hard.

A studs up challenge into Sagbo on the sideline which I saw with my own eyes - none of this sucked into Sagbo's dives - you yourself mentioned Koren not getting booked, Figueroa should have been sent off for a second bookable offence but got a warning instead, several players climbing all over Jelavic repeatedly, several of their challenges going unpunished, Huddlestone getting harshly booked.

Nice to let the game flow?? He blew for every innocuous challenge we made and let them get away with plenty!

I think on the whole Webb is a good ref but his decision about that karate kick on Alonso in the World Cup final was one of the most laughable of all time.

No he didn't. Watch the game back on sky if you must. He let them get away with innocuous fouls that weren't fouls. He blew up on us for innocuous fouls that were actually fouls. Some of them took 2 replays from different angles to see that he got it right, it really is amazing how refs manage to spot these things in the flash they happen in.

That studs up challenge on Sagbo was nothing like a studs up challenge, it was an excellent tackle.

Does he miss the Southend game?

Smart move as he wouldn't have played anyway and he has had some yellows already this season.

So he missed the final two mins yesterday and that's it.

Smart move - like Peter Swan making sure he got suspended for the Christmas games twenty years ago.

Yes just a one game ban. I don't think he was intending on getting sent off, although he deserves it for going into that challenge completely half arsed and entirely lacking desire to get to the ball.

It's alright caning Fulham, but if he wants to go to Brazil he needs 6 or 7 goals between now and the end of the season and look like he cares more.

Don't rise to his bait- he's just an out-of-touch attention-seeker.
