Oh how a win would be nice for town come late afternoon on Saturday... === Team ============= Pld = W = D = L = F = A = GD = Pts = Form 2 = Rotherham United (5) = = 8 = 5 = 1 = 2 = 18 = 12 = 6 = 16 = WLlwDwWw 21= Shrewsbury Town (18) = 8 = 2 = 1 = 5 == 8 = 11 = -3 = 7 = lLwLLdLw Well based on the form from the last 8 games only Rotherham are second in the league behind brentford. The difference between the two? conceded one more goal than us but scored an awful lot more, 10 more. Does that highlight our problem? People elsewhere are bickering about the poor defense but goals for is certainly crucial to stay in League 1. Town are going to look like the Bash Street Kids on Saturday with all of the injuries - Luke Summerfield out for another couple of weeks, Aaron Wildig has a thigh injury but hopefully he will be fit for the weekend, Dave McAllister had a bit of concussion but should be okay, Connor Goldson got a broken nose and will probably wear a face guard if playing, very worryingly Jermaine Grandison is suffering with is hip again after the little outing he had on the pitch. On the positive side we might have new squad members (maybe even permanent) by Saturday with one or two aiming to be brought in. On a more positive note I have a chitty signed in triple by my wife that allows me to have a few beers on Saturday so am being picked up and will get the train back later on! Come win draw or lose, let's hope some of the pubs between Three Fishes and the Coach & Horses are open and serving good ale!! Come on you blues, Floreat saloia etc
I can feel a win brewing, so I'm near certain that we will lose. Turner has a pretty decent record against The Slug in recent times, though; draw this season and a 2-1 win in the promotion season. Can't remember how the away game panned out the year we went up, although I have a feeling we lost 1-0 but should have nicked something. Grandison sounds like he might struggle to maintain a career at this rate, hip injuries are notorious. Here's hoping he recovers fully. Probable team, I imagine, will be unchanged. Be nice to have some fresh faces available, though, because Goldson at RB makes me a little uneasy.
you may find 3 pints of Taylors Landlord at the 3 fishes will make town's famous win over rotherham unforgettable. Floreat Salopia!
sh one t or bust AJ has now removed his 2 "lucky" loggerhead stfc teddy bears out of the cupboard and put them on display. when i bought them on ebay last autumn town were unbeaten for 6 games. time young tom regained his earlier form. not likely if he is brought on in the 91st minute. town 2 roth. 1 5665 att
Shrewsbury 0 Rotherham 4 Attendance 4566. Abandon hope all ye who enter here. Obviously all prospective signings have rumbled to this.
I heard a rumour that the player who turned us down and went to another club was Chris Dagnall. If that is true you can see why he made the decision he did. I think we could well struggle tomorrow but (very hopefully ) predict a 2-1 Town win and lets all get down there and try to lift the lads a little bit.
We haven't had a draw in a while....and our top scorer hasn't scored....and our position is dropping....as is our goal difference. I will publish a report on my challenge after the weekend! So let's go for a surprising 2-2 draw with Bradshaw getting one and I don't care who gets the other one as I'm sure the 5,793 fans will enjoy it. That's one of the two points I think we'll get in these four matches.
Salop 1-2 Millers, Eaves scoring a thunderbolt amidst a woeful display, with 5,107 freezing fans wishing they'd stayed at home in front of the fire with a warming whiskey watching dubious quality films. Remind me why we bother?
first time ive been to a game for a while (mostly due to work), but they look pretty poor, and its time GT really thought of his future here now...., its obvious we cant survive on loanees alone...especially poor ones!!
This is starting to take the piss - we've not scored a goal at home since November, and have managed to score a measly total of 5 goals in the last 8 games.
....and our top scorer never starts! However good, bad or indifferent he is, if we can get him the ball he may score......no one else is!
Must admit thought u were poor today, we started very well, on a wet cold day, thought we deserved 3points, I get the feeling some of your players dont seem to be bothered as if they have no passion, but iv only seen u once so could be wrong, anyway good luck rest of The season x x
Millerskillers, Thanks for the last comment but I think we are done for. You have a really good side there who must be in with a decent shout of getting into the Championship - I hope you make it.
Don't give in just yet, GT is a old fox and may bring in the players in u need this month, good luck x x
Let's hope GT does work some magic. We have some tough games ahead, even if the town were playing well they'd still be tough. Now is not probably the time for a management change as it would not bring the desired input of players during the transfer window.
