Not Nolan's biggest fan but I wouldn't exchange him for Parker, who is old, vastly overrated, plays CM(a position which is already too packed) & doesn't fit our ''youth policy''. Plus I think Barton's better. <ok>

I think Parkers well over rated, hes did at west ham this season what he did for us, except he looked amazing in west hams team because everybody underperformed! He's still a good footballer but the fact is that he's in the England squad five years too late,

    Wow you don't know ****!

Could never ever accuse Scotty Parker of not giving his all! Played 2 months with glandular fever! Always gives 110% and always did for us, was and still is class and would love to have him back here.

I Would CERTAINLY do this deal.
IMO Scott Parker has excelled since he left Newcastle and I for one have backed him to be starting for England almost since the day he left.
He pushes forward well and he is techniquely sound so if we got him i'd honestly be over the moon.

    He's a personal favourite really.

This! Well some of it. I don't think you can question Parker's commitment when he played for us, there were some games where he looked like the only one who was committed to the cause. Saw him score for us then get a boot in the face from the opposition keeper (can't remember who against). That being said don't think we should have him back, would prefer Nolan to stay and Parker's knocking on a bit now. Would prefer younger guys coming in.

Its all about opinions and as a season ticket holder of 15 years I have mine. His turning on the fans cis of some stick had been very well documented at the time too..

True and not saying he didn't have a go at the fans, just saying I never doubted his commitment to the team when he played for us.

No...... To watch him spin on the ball and pass it backwards for another season, i would rather not.

Phew, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Parker is vastly over-rated! He really doesn't bring anything to the team that either Barton, Nolan or Tiote do.... Doesn't have the presence and the defensive ability of Tiote; doesn't have the vision and motivational ability of Barton; and doesn't have the goal scoring ability of Nolan.
So no I wouldn't take him back <ok>

I liked Parker when he was here but you can't compare him to Barton, Nolan or Tiote.

Watching Parker used to make me dizzy as he'd collect the ball, run round in circles for a while before offloading it back to the defence.

    Look at the pride:

I really couldn't agree more with this. Nolan is 10x better than Parker. He must have sucked off a fair few journos since the press have all of a sudden decided he's a good player. Funny that they fail to mention he failed at Chelsea, wasn't exactly a success here and then captained the team that finished bottom. The fact he is in the England team just adds weight to the argument that Capello doesn't watch games and picks his teams based on the 'possible line ups' printed in the Sun.

Didn't see him run around in circles, it was more like an old fashioned dance, forward, side, back, side, forward ............you get the picture? He was more like a backside.
