The thread makes your trip into non league football far more exciting. Best fans in the world, so it shouldn't be a problem.
Can't see Wet Spam paying £8 million for Rickie Lambert who will be 32 next month though. Would have thought £4 million max. would be good value for money, but who knows ? Chelsea are desperate to sign Luke Shaw for megabucks (good young player, so probably worth it). That would give Ms Liebheir a nice bit of cash to take out of the club.
What makes this situation even more amusing is that just a couple months ago Southampton fans were talking, in complete seriousness, about finishing the season in the top 4
You are right about that one at least PL. Should have been sacked. Worth a read: https://medium.com/p/d3542ae826f7
Man city now in for young Shaw, Liebherr has said no players leaving, but a tabled bid of 30M..........how can she turn that down, thats nearly what they spent in the summer!.......I think he will go........
SB3 where have you been hiding to lol Your Club has been struggling in Div 2 when all your supporters ( and rightly so ) were looking for at least a play off place ( that's what we do as supporters, look for positives ) and your favourite club Southampton FC have been doing rather well down the road and getting ( rightly so ) praise from all quarters, AND where have you been ? I did think you might have popped your head out from under your rock when we lost a few games but alas that wasn't enough with your Club doing so badly. It had to be a big thing to drag you out, like Pompey getting into the top half of the table or some sort of crisis at your favourite club and alas it was the second. You would have to be a fool or a liar to say things are all fine after ( in my opinion ) such a big thing happens to your club and you would have to be both if you thought you knew what the outcome would be. So like most football supporters I will be keeping my fingers crossed for a good out come, and allow you to crawl back home. lol
well this has certainly livened up the forum - nothing like a perceived crisis in a neighbour to bring lots out of the woodwork - so as Southampton prepare to take on another premier league club and Portsmouth host Mansfield lets hope both sets of agressors have a fruitfull outcome to their Saturday endeavours - always remembering the sun will rise in the morning especially down here and well hopefully the rain will stop up with you.
All true Anti and Poss, we love to see our rivals experiencing trouble as football fans. It's also an understandable reaction when things go wrong, to find an outlet for one's frustration, to take it out on, so a bit of Pompey bashing, here or there is to be expected. I was incredibly surprised when Cortese left Southampton, I still can't work out why he did it, he seemed to have the perfect job for someone like him. Free rein to run an organisation how he pleased with regular investment. When the truth comes out, if it ever does, it will be a saga of Norse proportions.
