Sunderland have sacked DoF Di Fanti, which is interesting! Might hinder their future transfer dealings in this window.

Also, Etienne Capoue, Nacer Chadli and Harry Kane may be available from Spurs. Napoli are supposedly interested in Capoue, and I don't fancy Kane back, but Chadli?

Yes he's another winger, but he can play anywhere across an attacking midfield three, so in a team with Pilks and Snodgrass might provide the attacking flair we need?

I'd be slightly surprised if Capoue went to Napoli - they don't really seem to need him!

Chadli is ok, not really had a chance at spurs and I imagine a loan would be more likely?

You know my feelings on Toivonen 😡

This is an unlikely (due to wages and interest from far bigger clubs) and probably unpopular suggestion - Michael Essien on loan.

Precisely Dave! Added to that is the Radio Norfolk survey of 500 odd fans by 'text' only, which skews the age range to the bottom end of the spectrum and distorts the outcome. It makes me angry, and does much of the mindless prejudice being expressed!

I have heard this today from someone within the club.
He has been down this week, he IS DM's no1 choice and it's purely down to the £130k per week.
They said that this WILL be CH's last game win or loose?
But this is second hand I didn't hear it with my own ears.

I'd be very surprised if that were true. I don't want Di Matteo in charge anyway, personally.

I agree, I doubt that's true.

I still think Neil Lennon would be top of any list which may or may not exist. Unfortunately.

My choice would be Marcelo Bielsa.

My choice would be for CH to prove us all wrong and pull a rabbit out the hat!

And the players FFS! They are earning thousands! where is their professional pride?!!

I just don't think CH has it in him to kick arses and control egos, I wish he did. Come on you fancy arse footballers let's see what it's all about.

He seemed to deal with Joey Barton pretty well. Besides, do we have any reason to believe there are any egomaniacs in our squad?

Nothing I would want more than succeeding without a change of manager.

I'm just pissed off.

I don't think given the investment in the squad we should be in this position right now.

I don't know if it's CH's fault or the players, but something's not right.

I understand your frustrations but have we really invested that much compared to others? Its a lot for us but by PL standards nothing much at all. You must constantly spend these days just to keep up. If you took out transfer fees and wages I'm sure they would be low in comparison to the majority of the league. Indeed, I believe this is where much of the frustration from supporters stems from, they see the club investing (so naturally you believe improving) but as everyone does the same most clubs remain relatively stagnant.

Bit we are not stagnant, we are regressing in both results and playing style.

Well the only thing that is really measurable is finishing position/ points, generally teams don't fluctuate too much. Basically I was just saying that while we spend lots of money, others do to. So there is no reason to think (in terms of investment) that we will gain the jump on everyone else.
