Do we have an option to buy Livermore at the end of the season if we stay up? If our business is done, do you think that is because Bruce is confident of staying up with the new editions and buying Livermore now might cost more than the price already agreed? I thought I had heard that we could buy him for 3.5 mill at the end of the season if we stayed up.
So I guess it is a good gamble to make that we can stay up and spurs aren't going to recall him which might reneg the current deal. That will hopefully work out well then...
Just imagine if spurs decide to recall him this month. With spunking more than we can afford on Long and Jelavic, we'd be in a right muddle unable to replace him.
I thought we were desperate to sign him in this window. Then again, it'd make more financial sense to have spurs paying a % of his wages.... I hope that their new manager doesn't recall him at the end of the season before selling him.
I reckon we are going to be concentrating on opening the Graham loan spot, hoping he finds another club. It only makes sense to buy JL now if we are paying all his wages with no subsidy and would lose nothing financially paying up now. I have no idea on he contract terms and the need to tie him down. I can't see spurs recalling him.
Jake Livermore said at the OSC Hull branch night on monday that it is now down to the 2 clubs. He would love to stay if he can. At the moment you need to email Daniel Levy @ Spurs and keep on at him to sell. Lol.
I'm sure Brucey said over recent days that he understands that Spurs have no intention of recalling Jake during the January window. That said it only needs another club to approach Spurs during January and we will find ourselves in a Notts Forest/Hobbs scenario! Papa better have £3.25m in his back pocket should that happen as at face value Brucey wants Jake on a permanent contract and intends to do this in the Summer, not now in January. With Jake himself saying its down to the clubs and that he wants to stay, and most supporters would want the same, we can't afford an issue with this opportunity given Jake is integral to the team and helps Huddlestone play his role. I'm sure Brucey has it 'boxed off'.
It's hard to be positive when we've just blown £14m and committed ourselves to almost £100k per week in wages for 3 and a half years for ****e. On top of which the chances are the owner is going to **** off and leave us well and truly in the **** at the end of the season.
Id heard Livermore has got a house to rent in Swanland, Believe its Bryan Hughes house on Tranby Lane
