I love how everyone on here thinks we are going to sign ex players all the time , also Donervon Daniels has returned so we now need a centre back in , preferably someone who can challenge for a first team spot .
I have seen people mention that Danny Hollands has gone back to Charlton so with him going back to his club as well as Daniels then that will free up some funds on the wage front so hopefully we will bring a couple in. I think it is important that we bring in 2 centre backs to improve the defence as Barrett is just not good enough and we need someone to press Legge for his place to get the best out of him. Also lately I have not been happy with Martin so if it was possible I would like to see someone come in to give him some competition. I think then we need to focus on the wings as ***an is not the answer. Hopefully he will not get a new contract and then we can bring in someone who is younger and fresher who will track back as well as run with the ball and take it to the byline and whip in good crosses as this is something that we don't do at the moment. I think the lack of wingers is costing us defensively because if we had someone who was chasing back then that will limit the chances that the opposition would have and then they may score less but as well as this we may break away quicker and score more so that is the next position we need to focus on. In my opinion other than that we are fine with who we have at the club.
I read somewhere yesterday and I can't find it now,that we are interested in a Dagenham and Redbridge centre back.
Someone posted on Facebook about Taylor being interested in their Centre Back Scott Doe,i`m not sure how true that is.
Rene Howe has been given the boot by Burton. In all fairness the guy isn't a league 2 footballer never mind league 1 but Peter Taylor was saying in the week that he was more bothered about numbers rather than actually improving the starting eleven so he could do? Would be quite cheap wage wise considering he was at Burton and is now without a club in the middle of the season. Could possibly be a player we could play in rotation with Bayo while Kedwell has his op by playing Bayo for the first 60 then replacing him with Howe for the last 30? Worth a thought at least had a half decent spell with Torquay last year and knows the club. Maybe worth a punt till the end of the season to help us out? What do you think?

Wasnt Edinburgh the gaffer when he was Rushden & Diamonds Surprised to see Paddy Madden, League 1 Golden boot winner last season looking like he is off to Scunny in league 2, had heard last week Rotherham had put a decent bid in for him. Perhaps he didnt like the manager ;-)
Has been a bit of a boring transfer window for us so far. Other than the couple of loans and extension of ***an's contract and extension of Harriman's loan this has been a really boring transfer window. Hopefully now I have said that we will hear we have completed the signing of a new defender.
Bit of a worrying tweet I saw this morning on @CodyMcDonald that said something like " just when you're settled they want to move you on". hope it doesn't mean what it looks like. I can't find it now so it may have been removed.

@CodyMcDonald is definitely are fake account. Cody will not be going anywhere. I believe another defender is still the priority and we are still looking at a young Belgian Under 20.
We're only allowed up to five in the matchday squad but I don't think there is a limit you can have providing no more than five are available for matchday.
Correct me if I am wrong but I think you can have 5 loanees in the match day squad and have 8 at the club in total. May be wrong but I think that is the way it works. Hope this young Belgium lad is a centre back as that is really what we need, failing to be that if he is a winger then that is fine as well.
