Very sad news. And comparatively young at only 69 years. He was fed some great OFAH lines: 'Look after your broom' 'If it's a boy they're going to call him Rodney, after Dave' 'You're alright, but Del don't look nothing like Tonto' Great memories....
Trigger: What you up to Dave? Rodney: I'm listening to Mozart's Concerto No.5 in D-Minor. Trigger: No words to this song Dave? Rodney: No Trigger, it's an instrumental. Del Boy: All right Trigger? What you doing? Trigger: I'm listening to Mozart's Concerto No.5 in D-Minor. Del Boy: Okay. Trigger: It's the karaoke version. Rodney: Trigger what are you doing here? Trigger: Well Dave, Del Boy said he'd give me a lift down the pub. Rodney: Oh I suppose that's... Hold on, you live closer to the pub then we do? Trigger: Yeah I know, but Del Boy said he'd give me a lift down the pub. Rodney: But Trigger, you've had walk past the pub to get to our flat! Trigger: I know, but Del Boy said he'd give me a lift down the pub. Rodney: We didn't know the fancy dress had been cancelled. Trigger: Me neither. Rodney: You mean, that's your costume? Trigger: Yeah. I came as a chauffeur. I feel a bit stupid now. Rodney: Yeah, you do stand out. His timing was superb and his delivery wonderful. I can't separate the man from the role, despite the other great characters he played (such as Owen in Vicar of Dibley) - he will always be Trigger, and posting some of his best lines is the perfect tribute to a sadly missed entertainer...
A very, very sad day. For me Trigger is my "most favourite" character from TV. Some classic lines. Trigger is irreplacable, and brought so much laughter to all of us growing up in the 70's and 80's. A true legend. RIP Trig. (or was it Dave)
Possibly the best actor in OFAH. A remarkable talent who will be sorely missed. Thank heaven for the fact that we can remember him through re runs on 'Dave'. RIP Mr Lloyd-Pack.
RIP Sad to here Trigger has died, only 69,only fools was proberbly the best sit com of all time sadly missed.
A sad, sad loss. They don't come any more talented than he was. Will be sorely missed. He gave myself and many millions of people a great deal of joy, and for that I thank you. R.I.P.
Very sad news. He appeared in all sorts of BBC programmes over the years. I thought he was excellent in Vicar of Dibley, but I watch a lot of the old "classics" and he pops up all the time. He is of course unforgettable as Trigger. Thanks Roger, RIP
