Is a shame the game on Sat isn't at home, I'm fairly certain a widespread show of support/affection for Mauricio would have influenced greatly any decision he is likely to make!
Feature on BBC website says "at least one senior player's future is tied to that of Cortese's within his contact". Any ideas who this might be?
I remember reading an article on the BBC by Ben Smith (the same person that wrote this article) mentioning that Shaw wanted a clause in his contract that allowed him to leave if Cortese did, but Cortese wouldn't allow it...
Mail reporting that after meetings with KL, Mauricio has reaffirmed his commitment to stay at the club. Now I know it's the Mail but WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO if that's true.
Neil Ashton: Sportsmail understands that Mauricio Pochettino will commit to the club after talks with owner Katharina Liebherr. Get out the bunting!
I'd have thought Shaw? Recently signed new deal and was already sought after when he did get that new deal.
Makes a change but for once a very good article by the BBC. That doesn't happen very often these days... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25755711
If a player was to leave the club (especially one that joined the club before Cortese) because of what happened yesterday I will be disappointed in them because for me it will show that they were not loyal to saints but to Nicola. Shouldn't commit yourself to the club only to leave in a strop because the chairman left.
Ben Smith, who appears to know roughly what is happening, says MP is talking to KL before the presser (so now). http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25760049
All my sacrifices to Satan don't seem so crazy now! Wayne Veysey @wayneveysey Told Pocchetino is totally committed to Southampton & is "absolutely" staying on as manager.
Does anyone else think that that Ben Smith article on the BBC looks like it has been run past Cortese before pubclication?
To be fair I was probably a bit harsh. But until herself or Cortese comes out and explains the reason behind this (not speculation from the media) it seems very silly. I hope somewhere she does have the club at heart and not her bank balance.
Yes, we all want to hear and know what happened, but I have seen no facts to lay her out a the devil, not yet. Even if she wants to sell the club, that's ok with me. How or who to could be a different story and if she started to sell lots of players for a quick buck, then we can start to question.
