    Was trialled at nufc as a kid and let go, so he plied his trade at other clubs before coming home, as a player

    Ad much as I dnt like Cardiff, they have a new stadium, bringing in revenue next year and always have a fair bit of talent the club as a who (excluding fans) ain't too bad, I for one would be quite happy for him to get a half decent championship club as his first job and hope he learns and does well because if he does

    His high regarded England reputation will mean even less now. Kinda feel sorry for him. Cardiff will struggle to make the top ten next season, & that will not be Alans fault.

    most of us dont want him, but of course we'll want him to do well if we do get him, this appointment could be a complete disaster - as nathan blake said on the bbc website the championship is a completely different type of league to the PL, and given that shearer has little or no experience of it, he'll do well to hit the ground running.

    I think a lot of people are a bit unhappy about the way a portion of your fans behaved in Newcastle last season. But you're right, every club has its ****ers.

    It's not like a friendly tour with Cardiff and Swansea fans in a foreign country wouldn't cause trouble <doh>

    And they cancelled it out of precaution not because fights had already taken place there.

    Oh and can you blame the fans for thinking that? You smashed up the place when you visited St James' two seasons ago.
