Surely something is going to happen today....

Maiga...season long loan is looking on. As Fulham have pulled out, due to Maiga's poor form this year....looks a near certainty then!
Rhodes...did not play last night...could mean a transfer is imminent?
Troy Deeley...allegedly spotted having a medical at HQ, possibly a case of mistaken identity, and it was a Pizza delivery boy

Any one else......the foreign hotshots have all gone quiet....And Bobby Z has hit a hot seam of form form for the u/21 AND it is his Birthday!

The futures so bright I better wear shades

Morning Beth, I had the 'it is Thursday' thought too early this morning.

Would be nice to see someone come in before Saturday.

Rhodes and Crouch as first choices - Jones and Maiga after that, then possibly Deeney. after that, it goes a bit meh...

Looks like Shane Long is going to Hull circa £7m, I suppose it depends if the owner is still there at the end of the day as to whether or not it goes through. Anyway if it does they will have decent strikers as they got Jelavic earlier....

As for us someone please show swp the way to fulham.....

Maiga - seems to average at best 25 games a season, failed a medical at Newcastle, has contracted Malaria, not that prolific and possible sick note - I'd pass on this one.
Deeney - possible, did some bird for kicking a man in the head a bit back so not sure we should put him any where near Joey in case they don't get on...
Rhodes - Yes please although money is the negative here he will cost us big and possible cause further FFP issues if we don't off load
Belfodil - don't really know enough about him, he's young but seems to move around a lot and there seems some confusion over his economic rights with 50% remaining with his former club (according to wiki)- this **** just reminds me of the Ale debacle.
Ntep - Young know nothing about him, if Harry thinks he's good enough - fair enough.
Donaldson - the Brentford striker? Unlikely to be good enough at top level.
    Jones - ??? which one
Crouch - I think I'd pass on him now also, i like him but dont really want us to be his last pay day, if the money was right maybe but if the money was low i'd of thought another prem team would take a punt.

How about Danny Ings, Celtic rumours are around which suggests he is available....

Kenwyne is a bit of a tough one, it depends what they want, I'd have a good sniff and see what he smells like...

If he whiffs a bit of arrogant mercenary bastard - I'd pass, but a fit Kenwyne firing on all cylinders was a right handful, a sort of Drogba Lite and could do well if he puts his scoring boots back on - again though if he's going on the cheap i'd have thought a prem team would be likely to roll the dice on him, also would not expect Nowyne Hughes to do us any favours.

Agree, but if I was to be greedy a big forward can create havoc in the penalty area, so Deeney or Kenwyne Jones

I would love to spend a transfer window observing and listening, I wonder if there is much of a change now to the dialogue in the "four year plan". I bet the last couple of years would make equally uncomfortable but compelling viewing
