I think we're leaving Livermore until the summer, allowing more funds to be available now. Remember Jezza, we have a £3.5m agreement in place if we stay up.
Everton now saying they are looking for a striker replacement for Jelavic. They wouldn't move for Long would they?
They'll be looking at a top 4 finish or at the very least a Europa place. I Think they'll be looking at better strikers..
ESPN think that we are going to get Long and the delay is over how the purchase will be structured. Their source is from inside WBA. ESPN is normally really good about transfers. http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1682446?&cc=5901
I thought the Jelavic delay was so we could announce both until someone mentioned that it was about permits. Hopefully the long deal gets done, as I'm more excited about Long signing.
I think City hoped they could do that, but it got to a point when they realised they had to announce Jela's deal.
maybe Allams delaying the deal until he can piss on it with more outlandish statements . One thing we can rest assured at is he wont get us playing in Tiger stripes as that would ju,. . . . . . . .
If I'm being a twat here then I'm quite happy to be told so...I'd have Long is a heartbeat but why would WBA sell to us on the basis that we're one of their "rivals" for the drop..? Don't get me wrong I don't think for a minute we'll be in there & neither do I think WBA will be either but.....man with 6 months to run down on his contract, an EPL goal scoring record....there's so much money in staying in EPL....boot on the other foot, if you were WBA would you sell him to us or anyone else within 6 points of the drop....??
They have 8 strikers at the club - Berahino, Long, Vydra, Sessignon, Anelka, Anichebe, Nabi and Rosenburg
If his Mrs didn't want to move as far away as Hull, she's goin' to go ape when she finds out where Newcastle is (That's Newcastle upon Tyne love).
They won't lose him for nothing, the club have the option of another 12 months. So, he technically has 18 months on his contract.
After a quick look at a couple of the WBA fan forums, I noted that some of the fans think we won't be in the relegation scrap, but they will. I'd agree obviously, but I think it's a bit premature to say it. It also seems that a few think they'll be losing 2 players without possible replacements. Bizarreâ¦they have plenty of strikers!
