Apparently BBC reporter Ben Smith is/has been CC'd into all emails going in and out of the club this afternoon. He's worth following if you're wanting more information.
Yes indeed, wise words. I'm not thinking entirely about myself. There are a fair few others who aren't quite ready to look on the bright side yet. It's been a pretty bright 4½ years and it was about to get brighter still. Myself, I'll perk up probably quicker than most, I'm sure, and I was among Nicola's biggest admirers.
If Poch moves to West Ham, can we please ban Trixter TSS!!? Actually Poch's moves now will give us a much clearer idea if whether there's a chance NC will ride back over the horizon...,
This feels like EastEnders, and Dirty Den's girl has just turned up and claimed the pub back. We were all enjoying our drinks as well.
If you take the club statement at face value, Nicola has spat his dummy out because he didn't get his own way, and life now goes on. Like many talented and driven people, Cortese's own character flaws may have been his downfall. And in the long run we may be better off without him. After all, if he really cared about the club he'd still be there.
Reading into it all, Purslow wouldn't be a bad option. Rangers were desperate to get him and LFC speak highly of his time. But I feel like I'm shagging the wife's sister just by talking about it right now.
What next for Cortese then? I want him to ride across the horizon like a knight on horseback and come and buy us with a rich friend.
I'm calm, maybe the Adkins experience has numbed me a bit because that turned out ok (well until now). If MP says in his press conference tomorrow that he will stay, or at least hold on for now, I'll be a lot less worried. Keeping it off the pitch would be nice. I do??
Apparently (From a very dubious source) The first resignation that was rejected this morning, and reported by Sky to be from Nicola Cortese was in fact from Mauricio Pochettino.
