4 jump meetings tomorrow, Ludlow, Market Rasen, Wincanton and Thurles. AW from Wolverhampton and a mixed flat meeting (inc the UAE Guineas trials) at Meydan (Dubai). I have 3 for my hedging bet tomorrow but no prices available yet so just provisional Wincanton 14.50 Ut Majeur Aulmes, Quick Decisson and Alaivan Very worried about Brinestine but not sure he will appreciate the testing ground
I see that 500/1 Epsom Derby 2nd, Terimon, features in another pedigree. This time it's Too Generous. Top weight and returning after a 367 day absence in the 14.40 Ludlow. I'm guessing David Pipe has him fit for this. Sired by Generous out of a Terimon mare I would think the 3 miles should be within his scope. I'll be looking to see if his odds are, in fact, too generous.
That's a cracking little race at Thurles I'll be hoping for a good run from Last Installment to prove his wellbeing at the very least. I saw what you did there Ron - not a lot gets by me
And in the immediately preceding race we have Nicky Henderson's only runner at the meeting, Une Artiste. I would expect her to win this. 15/8 forecast but surely won't be that when the prices are up. Anything above that should be snapped up.
WOW. Prices up. And my main fear is 9/2 (BF) So Ut Majeur Aulmes (5/1) 2 points Quick Decisson (9/1) 1 point Alaivan (14/1) 1 point Brinestine (9/2 ) 1 point
lucky 15 for me tomorrow-- Denali Highway 150 W -looks ready to strike-conditions ideal Monkerty Tunkerty--2 20 W --as above Poet-2 50 W-- mudlover with a bit of class--hope he shows it Big News--2 10 L--love this horse--was backed last time but ran as if something was amiss--cant be too bad--hes back out again--loves the course, and should be a decent price so therefore my Nap good luck all !!
Sorry to bump into the hedging bet tomorrow Ron but my horse for tomorrow is in that race. I am hoping to see it get hammered into as well. The one for me is GRAMS AND OUNCES 2.50 Wincanton 28-1. Its had one run back from a layoff to get him straight and the handicapper has dropped him to below his last winning mark. A look through his form includes running Sire de Grugy fairly close. Conditions look right and I like the jockey booking. If you won some money today its worth a little speculation on this fella. Fingers crossed. Lets see the money come!
Can't get enthusiastic about that one stick. Flattered by proximity to SDG and I think the ones behind haven't done much since. Well in on best form but I'll leave that one to you.
Have had a go on this just because i dare not leave it! got 20s but i also like Quaddick Lake 10/1 in the same race so i've done both ew and rev f/c
Does anyone else have problems with the Coral website? I complained about it's random problems and they have said ... Empty your browser history cache - so all my retained pw etc will be lost. Use Firefox as your browser Must have updated/latest versions of Flash and Java My observation that every other online bookmaker's site works perfectly seems to have fallen on deaf ears.
Trouble is Reebs, some of these techies are pure techies and some have their pet answers to everything. If you need a newer version of Flash and Java it should ask you to perform the download. And why a big site like Corals should be dependent on one browser is just rubbish. Obviously a twat.
Ron, stick is on fire atm. Wouldnt surprise me if this selection moonwalked across the line in first. Maybe a wee bit of mutiny going on too ;-)
I remember that Grams and Ounces running up a nice little sequence over hurdles a couple of years ago under 10lb claimer Thomas Flint (trainers son perhaps?). I make his last winning mark 109 though stick (effectively 99 with the lad's 10lbs claim) so off 115 he may still struggle tomorrow, especially on heavy. Top weight Alaivan takes a massive drop in class and with Maurice Linehan taking 5 off he could be the one, having winning form on Irish soft/heavy. Having said that, I couldn't pick a winner to save my life so that one is best avoided.
