Time for WBA to put up or shut up, give the lad his contract extension or take the offer. The current offer represents his value as it stands. They didn't want to do a deal with part of the price being based on the mighty tigers staying up last time, so as far as I am concerned WBA can take or leave what's on the table. If we buy Shane long I hope he is a raging success, if not, we move on and hope the next striker we buy is the one we have been looking for. Our hand is stronger with Jela in the building.
I think he meant that Shane Long and his people would be able to agree with the terms and conditions on offer.
Doesnt sound like a bid was rejected. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...ook-complete/story-20440858-detail/story.html
It was on Talksport this morning that another club are interested, they didn't say who but apparently their above us in the league so that narrows it down to 9. Obviously just a paper story and one I haven't heard before but it would make sense if their trying to get more cash from us.
Nope. Though that might be a good thing, as it means we are still in talks and not being rejected despite what the title of this thread wrongly says.
If he decides to join us then hopefully the paperwork won't take to long. The terms and conditions were discussed in the summer. Hopefully will just be a case of rubber stamping everything.
After reflection, I wouldn't mind signing Long BUT I don't think we need to. I think Jelavic will fill a big gap up front and I'd rather see us get an attacking midfielder to replace the presence (or lack of) Koren, quinn,Boyd.
