    One thing that needs to be done is a statement from Saints. I notice all their press etc is on lockdown.

    Yep, a statement is needed on this big time. Conveniently, Jim Lucas and Jordan Sibley are away.

    I'm beginning to fear the worst, but when I step back and look at the cold hard facts instead of media nonsense, I find;

    - Cortese has said all along he is here for the long haul
    - The Liebherr's have pumped over £70mil in transfers alone in the last few years
    - Money pumped into training facilities and infrastructure

    These are the facts. None of that looks as if anyone is having second thoughts. Admittedly, the selling Luke Shaw thing would be reason enough for Cortese to quit, but there is still time for all parties to negotiate and backtrack. Also, with a £25 million transfer fee we can easily get a Left Back that is as good as Shaw currently. We will lose his potential development which will definitely sting, but there are other players that it would hurt us to lose more than Shaw.

    Yep and none of the others are tweeting, it's obvious they have been told not to.

    But it is an executive Board, not one to which Nicolas is accountable.

    I don't get the Shaw thing, because any offer and subsequent transfer would have to be authorised by Cortese.
