EVERTON SEEK JANUARY DEAL FOR SUNDERLAND'S COLBACK Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Tue, 01/14/2014 - 10:53 Everton boss Roberto Martinez is chasing Sunderland midfielder Jack Colback. Colback is coming off contract at the end of the season. The People says Martinez is weighing up a cut-price January deal for Sunderland midfielder Colback.
They're free to talk to him, give it a shot. All he ever wanted was to play his own position and a contract that reflected his squad status. Doubt he's in a hurry to up sticks and leave his family and friends. I think he'll sign a new contract all day long, so long as we stay up.
it won't be the original source fella. The web site is ****e, just steal the odd paragraphs from the papers.
Even still, even as a article maker you can whip a few paragraphs together, state the source and then voice your opinion from these sources in about 5 minutes... Rather poor really
I don,t think he will sign I read earlier that Everton want him as fullback for baines but colback always said he wants to play midfield
He'd do the dirty work in dm next to Barry to let Barkley, Mirrales and McGeady attack and supply Lukaku.

He's young, English, versatile, can pass a ball and potential very cheep. Great squad player for any premiership club what with the rules and that.
If I were Everton or any other decent Prem club and I knew Colback was out of contract in the summer I'd certainly be sniffing around.
I hope that safc makes inroads into keeping colback and he likewise wants to stay here ,imo he is a diamond of a player and one to be kept ,he is now playing in his prefered place in the team and is a fine asset to the squad .
I would put Osman before Colback. I'm starting to see why he could be a squad player there, but as long as they keep ambitions for Champions League, he's never gunna be a first team player.
Thats a good point mate, hadn't thought about that. He's a tidy player but not sure he has the quality or potential to go higher than he is now. Most passes he plays are generally 5 yard sideways and he doesn't really start off anything positive.
It's the English bit that makes him attractive. He still hasn't finished developing yet, I think he'll become a lower table regular or a mid table squad player. I'd keep him around for a few years, Gards has no future, we need to keep the British numbers up where we can imo.
