January transfers; rumours and news

I've always thought Ireland to be a good player so this is good news if it comes off.

 

Happy with that and allowing us to make another loan signing is good news.

That would be a big mistake. He is currently playing his best football since his arrival at Stoke and with Mr Hughes promising to improve his squad during the transfer window, his timing could not be worse. We want good players at the Brit, so by all means get rid of some fringe players but please Mr Hughes keep our best.

 

Ireland and Adam are an ideal combination or rotation pairing and should push each other on. I would be unhappy to see him go if we then keep the likes of Whelan, Palcious and Walters (the latter however being more flexible).

It could be interesting going forward. For me it shows that Hughes has the knack of holding off competition from other Premier League clubs.

 

Excellent bit of business, hopefully we can have a bit of a clear out as well.

 

Some people are saying that Adam's agent was in Turkey today to agree terms before the clubs agree something.

His agent has supposedly made contact with them, signalling that he might want to join them

 

According to his Twitter page, Juan Agudelo has signed for us today and is about to go out on loan for six months to "Europe".

It is a scandal that Chelsea got a work permit for a Burkina Faso player, yet we can't get a work permit for a US player

 

Several papers been reporting today that Everton are after Jones for 1m, and also that he has been fined for texting Hughes saying he wouldn't be available for the Liverpool game.

He should have gone in the summer when we could have got some decent wedge for him. What makes me laugh is that he thinks he will get more game time at Everton? Have a word mate!
