Hull have agreed a fee for him with West Brom.

Can't help but think we should be trying to sign him. Proven in the premier league and can play up top on his own and does it very well. At only 26 he's still a very decent age.

A bargain for the reported 4.5 million IMO.

Until he changes his name to Longeux, I very much doubt we'll be interested. We only have one target in mind to bolster our attacking options (though it's obvious we'll lose Papiss), and that's Luuk De Jong.

As usual, this means we'll either end up paying too much for him, or more likely, be put off by the price-tag and sign nobody because we aren't interested in back-up transfer options like every other club are... Oh and we'll still lose Papiss

 

Disappointed we are not interested. We should be looking to move Shola and Papiss out. Long and a more powerful option would leave us well set. I think Bony might have worked out better for us than he has for Swansea. I think he would have suited our style of play.

 

If we move Cisse on, keep Shola and fail to bring in out striker it would be disasterous. I know Cisse has been poor this season but he hasn't really had a good run in the side. He had a breathtaking half season when he first came then had an alright last season which without his goals ( many of the last minute variety) would have seen us relegated. I find it hard to get on his back when that useless piece of **** and f**king parasite Shola has been a tumouress growth on our club for thirteeen horrible years and seems to be forgiven by many of our fans after hundreds of **** performances (I can't believe he has had that many!).

I can't wait till he f**ks off in the summer and good riddance to him when he does.

 

I know we don't have many options but to me he is a 3rd/4th choice striker at best. Has moments where he looks class but you never hear much of him and is never up there with either assists or goals

 

What's a 4th choice striker? I seem to remember this from a few years back but its been so long................

I'm not completely convinced JK has much say. I think he is sat in a room round Mikes house, drinking himself into oblivion. Now and again when Mike feels down, he opens the doors, sees how **** life could be and is instantly happier.

We should have gone in for him for that kind of price. If we could ship out Obertan for around £2m and Jonas for £2m-£3m, then it would have been good business without costing Mike too much while also reducing the wage bill.

Missed opportunity. He might not be the most prolific scorer, but he creates a lot with his work rate and constantly hassling of defenders, so they make mistakes. He'd be a good outlet.

 

Gateshead it is then, they've just got a new striker, even Hartlepool have taken on Marlon Harewood and there supposedly skint.

Shane Long would have been decent, but we should be taking a chance on Rhodes or Ings.
I can see I'm gonna become irate over the next few weeks.
May be time to listen to some soothing music and forget about the numpties.

 

Personally I like him. I think he would do well in our side. Having said that West Brom who are not exactly well off for striking options seem to have been trying to offload him for ages. Maybe there is a reason for that.

 

Move Shola out? Have you gone completely mad?

 

Big move for Hartlepool and a big comedown for Harewood. Hadn't heard about that.
