This would show good ambition. Going up and staying up and then going on from there.
Although, I would rather have Carlton Cole:grin:

    Morning Beth.

Certainly seems the Remy type as you state.

Nearly half way through January now! part of me is glad we are not having the same debacle as last January - not Remy but Samba - and part of me wants to get the new players in asap to go on and win games.

We are now clear favourites to sign Rhodes and its in the papers, lets hope so.

Rhodes and Austin would be excellent up front.

Paul-Georges Ntep. Might be a challenge for the QPR song writers!

Favourites, but 2-1 against, which suggests he's more likely to stay put. Would be nice though.

Grant Holt having a medical at Villa as we speak; weight of expectation?

Even if we signed Rhodes, chances are we'd still play 1 up the majority of the time. We're packed with midfielders that Harry has a soft spot for and likes to play(Carroll, Kranjcar, Benayoun etc).

Agree we would, which is why we need another striker (or two)

Indeed, but I doubt Rhodes or Austin would be happy with a place on the bench.

If Rhodes signs it would be with the understanding that HR plays a 442 or 4411. One would expect his advisors to be aware of the 451 situation and ask the question of what HR intends to do in the future.

Everton and England midfielder Ross Barkley has a broken toe and could be out for up to six weeks.

Barkley, 20, has excelled for the Toffees this season, but suffered the injury during his side's 4-0 FA Cup third-round win over QPR on 4 January.
