Yeah good shout. I probably should've set a different thread up about BC instead of adding it to this one. Soz.

He scored that free kick in the playoff decider to put us one up at brum against palace. Them coming back to beat us was more gut wrenching than last Saturday.

Recall he scored a few direct from corner. Couldn't believe he didn't start for the Republic of Ireland in the World Cup

Would that have included Neil Aspin.

I never had the pleasure of seeing Collins and Madeley play unfortunately so most of my knowledge of them came from Leeds United - The Glory Years (which I still have on video!).

I was at that game, ****ing gut wrenching, like you say Glory, great free kick by Sheridan, I think Peter Shirtlifter got their winner.
Saw Nobby Styles walking up to the ground with the Leeds fans, gave the Leeds salute obviously he was going to watch his lad so I won't slag the scum twat off:emoticon-0100-smile

I reckon most of them were. It's round about the time I was old enough to start following them and know the players. Wasn't Aizlewood around then too?

For some reason Scott Sellars was my 'favourite' player back then!

Always remember there being only about six palace fans in the great big standing area at the other end from our sold out allocation.

    .
Loved Ian Baird. Til recently he was Managing my local team a few away called Eastleigh.

Who's Merve the perv? (Day) Why?

Bobby Davison, always came on from subs bench and scored. Why he didn't start more.......

At this time some of the names I recall are Russell Doig, Roger Eli, George McClusky. Are these the same era?

Aizlewood played the year before we went up I think, so 86?

Any of you at the match when he gave the salute?

My bad. We played em at palace though didn't we?

Went to that and arrived at half time due to a smash on the motorway, they weren't going to let us in until we decided we were going in anyway.

Brum on the Friday night was the decider we played them home and away first. They were playing home games at selhurst park at the time.

I am sure I have this right. Went to all three play off games.
