You did hit a dark place for while there fella. Glad to have you back, you are generally one of the optimistics.
At the time I really thought we were going down. The ongoing turnaround I just didn't see coming. Delighted.
Thanks Funk, good lesson in Keeping the Faith. There's quite a few of us who voted YES after that appalling second half in the Spurs game with egg on our faces now, and again doubted after that ****ing awful performance against Villa. So this is a good reminder that it's gonna be 2 steps forward, 1 step back, as someone said earlier, 1 of RAW, Smug or Cest I think.
I thought we were certs a week ago and now I just don't know. I've said from the beginning of the season if we could keep in the mix come the transfer window we will have a chance so it's all down to who comes in for me. This season has been a shock with the disaster that was PDC and then the slight uplift under Gus who's hands have been tied with the wreckage, all of this has left me knumb but then being a Sunderland fan has never been easy! Overall I like Gus and the things he is trying and just hope he keeps us up and gets the players/team he wants to show us what he can do.
You know what mate, it's not to gloat or anything like, it's because of February. There's a very good chance we'll show relegation form through that month. We must not panic again because there's so long to go and will take steps backwards again. Check April out as well, another month we could struggle. It will look bleak again, no doubt, tough games when grouped are turbulent times but we've got to let them pass and keep our cool. After the Villa game we collapsed as a fan base which really surprised me as we were showing form better than our rivals even with that defeat. After Palace game the panic set in also(seems so long ago now) Credit to Short for finally getting our house in order with plenty of season to spare. We've gone from 7 adrift to 6 off 10th. Bravo I say.
So now the form guide is The new league table, Lets recap your last two league games I am certain you lost against villa a very poor rival the other week and yes you beat a shocking Fulham team who even hull put six past the week before This is reality below http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/crystal-palace
Yes Feb is gonna be tough but we could be going into it with 4 - 6 points and a Wembley date in March to look forward to which will be one hell of a boost for Feb. If we can scrape 4 - 6 points in Feb then going into March when there's 10 - 12 very gettable points which should see us safe with a few games to spare. But, yes it's gonna be tight and there's still a shed load of work to do.
Didn't vote, but I've always maintained we'd stay up. The villa loss was alarming but we've bounced back in style
The Fulham team vs Hull was significantly weakened. Either side of it they beat Norwich (away) and West Ham (home). Pick and chose your facts as you wish, but you're not convincing anybody Villa was a poor result, but sometimes poor results happen, we should have had an equaliser, but it was wrongly disallowed. Before the Villa result we became the only team in 2013 to go to Goodison as well, but I'm sure you'd rather ignore that, eh?...
Agree about picking and choosing your facts I failed to hear you mention that Everton had ten men for a vast amount of time ?? I don't need to convince nobody the league says it all
Are you lost? the we dont give a **** forum and newcastle forum are please log in to view this image that way
