Aluko, Jelavic & McGregor all in the same team. We're turning into Rangers. Hullo Hullo we are the Billy Boys.
Evidently we put it out by City after finding HDM were getting ready with their 14 million exclusive report, plus it was becoming public knowledge on Merseyside.
So the HDM which claims to represent the fans of the club are willing to jeopardize a transfer that would benifit those fans so they can get an "exclusive" report?
The guy who chases pigeons was singing "the Sash" before entering the East Stand today so maybe we are.
Well A) That goes against what I've been told and B) Why would Bruce be annoyed that the bid is in the media?
Interesting comment from Martinez when discussing McGeady signing, "and the situation with Niki Jelavic agreeing terms with Hull", (http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-delighted-to-push-through-aiden-mcgeady-deal), not sure whether it's a mistake on his or sky's part, but sounds promising if it's true and we've already agreed terms, although I'd be surprised.
Completely missed the news last night somehow so catching up. I will try and be positive about him. I hope he regains form. At least we're giving him an opportunity. Players do well when they sign for other clubs (usually..Cough Graham Cough) From what I remember of his goals, they were ****ing class. Much better than DG's PL goals. Quality strikes in difficult situations. And from what I've read of people's comments on him he works hard and will be missed at Everton. I reckon some Toffees will only look at his recent spells and say he's **** but the guy is a good player and has been good for Rangers, Everton and Croatia. So I wouldn't compare him to Graham at all. We know that he won't be the pacy striker we need but a finisher. Long will hopefully bring pace along with Jelavic's ex-teammate Aluko. Either way, I think SB has done brilliantly with 90% of his transfers and we could only dream of signing such players last time round. As someone said here we can't sign the top scoring strikers but Jelavic and Long are excellent signings. They've not been regulars and therefore look out of form but they have enough quality to regain it. The best kind of signings. Not sure if we'll ever know his price but he signed for Rangers for £4million and for Everton for £5.5million. As he's been out of form and injured and is now older than then I'd be disappointed if we paid more than £4.5million but what the hell. No one has mentioned this but I am amazed that AA has decided to splash out £10+million after the **** he's received recently (whether warranted or not)
No we are not Rangers nor Billy Boys thank you very much. We've bought players they can't afford any more
I actually think it's great thinking by Bruce. Bruce is building a TEAM He's got a few of his ex players in Elmo, Meyler, Figgy, Mcshane, He has a few Irish lads in Quinn, Brady, Meyler, Mcshane (hopefully Long also) He has his son. He has 2 , maybe 3 ex Rangers players. He has a few ex-man utd youngsters in Chester, Dudgeon and Brady. He has 2 ex-Spurs players who were in a similar situation and play alongside each other. and then he's got a handful of players in Curtis, Yannick, George and Harper who are clearly really good lads with charisma and have integrated very well. You have the likes of Prozzy who haven't adapted well and you can tell it's because he doesn't really fit (language barrier, different league, bad start). Sagbo should have been in the same mould but he's done well, reckon lads must like him and his positive start must have helped. I really think all of this makes this group more special and will make the difference between teams like us and the likes of Palace or Cardiff, who have bought players left right and centre. They don't look like teams to me. This isn't a theory on how to play good football, you look at Man city and they've made it work somehow. But for clubs of our size I think it's really clever to have created automatic bonds like that within the dressing room.
so he is one of the players hoping to go to the World Cup (not sure how many other players in the past have played on that stage while being contracted to us), so hopefully we will see a player with the power, pace, penetration to be a striker who will score the goals to keep us winning matches and impress his national coach
-------------------------- He does go to games.. If have met him . Hes someone I would trust in the trenches Stay well Mr Park and have a great day everyday
Most certainly by Monday afternoon. http://myevertonnews.com/martinez-jelavic-goes-with-our-blessing/?
Must be missing something? Where in that does it mention Monday afternoon? Or are you suggesting it's a done deal so will certainly be wrapped up by Monday?
