Wickersley with regard to young Wells this is what I know: Leeds60 said he had got from an insider that we were going for him. Since then I've read that udders, QPR, Leicester and leeds are thinking about it. BMcD stated late last week "Yes young Nhaki is a good prospect and will cost a lot of money" which only says to me is that he was on the radar and then found out he was going to be expensive so walked away? The rest of it is just rumour although I think he would be good but I dont think he's worth £2m or more. BMcD has said on TalkSport today that he is still in the market if he can get a deal over the line. He expects kebe to be signed up today and was not happy about a deal failing last night (Barnes?) so fingers crossed
Burnley paid £750k for Barnes who is out of contract in June, good luck to them ... I expect they are covering themselves now for the sale of Ings in the future ... would still like to see us go and get Le Fondre who is keen to get away from Reading
The OS says we've got Kebe on loan with the option of a permanent deal idc. No mention of having to get promotion. So all in all, a good deal. We are moving rapidly in the right direction. Keep the faith. MOT
Why o why did we not get Wells? Is it because Brian thinks he can reunite himself with Le Fondre? Surely thanks not why we've missed out on him? This news has really pissed me off. Sounds like wells only went for about 1.5m too.... I think we need a striker and quickly. I'm sick of seeing Smith miss nearly every chance
Yeah. Confirmed just now. Four and a half year contract. The even more annoying thing is they probably sell him in a couple of years and get 8mill again or they will start finishing above us. Either way I think this is a deal that really has got away from us.
There is no way were in a position to bid 1.5m for anyone. That's why wells was never on our radar. We need to unfortunately get used to what we got today. Still a decent days work considering we're skint still
