David Moyes was charged by the Football Association today, following comments made after the Capital One Cup first-leg defeat to Sunderland on Tuesday. Moyes was angered after both Sunderland goals seemed contentious, in his eyes. The first one was after a free-kick was awarded against Jonny Evans, a free-kick which should not have been given according to Moyes. He was also furious following the award of a penalty, which led to Borini netting the winner. The Football Association today confirmed Moyes has been charged, with the statement saying: Manchester United manager David Moyes has been charged for misconduct by The FA in relation to post-match media comments he made following his sideâs game against Sunderland on Tuesday 7 January 2014. It is alleged the comments called into question the integrity of the match officials appointed to that fixture and/or appointed to Manchester United fixtures generally, and/or implied that such match officials are motivated by bias; and/or brought the game into disrepute, in contravention of Rule E3(1). Moyes has until 6pm on 15 January 2014 to respond to the charge.
Good, the bloke blames anyone but himself. It's no coincidence to me Everton are doing better without him.
Well the FA have shown no favouritism here and rightly are bringing this miserable whinging Scottish git to book, I bet he's quaking in his boots at the thought of the £8k fine coming his way, how on earth will he afford to pay it.
I like Moyes, think away from the Man Utd **** he'd be a different lad. He unfortunately has adopted the defence mechanism of Ferguson, a man that never accepts defeat and always has a reason why. I also agree with the Man U lad that posts on our boards that getting rid of the coaching team will cost them..
That's the saddest part of all this. Hardly prohibitive. If you get caught speeding in finners, over a certain speed and you lose a large chunk of your salary - up to 3 months wages, i believe. If they're going to be serious about this stuff, they ned to do it properly........but that means they need to make sure reffing is done properly, supported by technology..
fines should be alot heavier! But even then it wont stop the managers speaking there mind! A points deduction will be too harsh, especially when you have to consider that emotions run high after a match and everybody (us supporters especially) is capable of spouting off a hypocrital whinge! So its very difficult to hit managers where it hurts without being unreasonable! Can a manager be banned from the touchline for after match comments?????
The fine's irrelevant, the point is that the FA are saying, "Stop being such a whinging tosser," and holding him up to ridicule. Hopefully they'll also remind him not to abuse the officials and encourage Giggs & Co to do the same ........ wasn't that supposed to be outlawed now?
I imagine that a few telephone conversations are taking place between referees. "Call into question our integrity? he'll never get a favourable 50/50 decision again. How sweet would that be?
I think the bloke is a kernt but what's he being fined for? Speaking? Voicing an, albeit bollocks, opinion? Long live democracy. Long live the FA.
Accusing the FA appointed officials of cheating ............ I think the charge is 'Pot calling Kettle black'. It's alleged that Mr David Moyes, residing at Cloud Cuckoo Land, made the accusations after the Capital One Cup first-leg defeat to Sunderland on Tuesday. Moyes defence will be, 'A bigger boy, up in the stands, told me to do it'
