After last night, will Lennon give his two summer buys a start ... and even a few games to form a partnership?

Doubt it unless it's a bottom 4 team.

It's a pity we can't arrange a deal where Sol Bamba plays against us every week, though.

He should at least be given a decent amount of time as a sub half an hour or so 5 and 10 minutes must be soul destroying.

What formation would you go with??

Commons left, Pukki right and Balde central or play 4-4-2 with Commons and Forrest out wide to whip balls in?

It would be stupid to move Commons wide while everyone else in the middle has done hee haw all season.

In the spirit of the Matchday Freds......

4-4-2 Pukki & Balde up front with Darius Wdowczyk & Davie Provan providing some service for the wings and Roddy MacDonald powering through the middle <ok>

    This <applause>

Play Balde or Pukki up front, and Commons, Forrest and Boerrigter out behind him. If big sammy is off in the summer, no point playing him between now and the end of the season is there?

Would like to see us play without Commons a few games or atleast with him on the left, his position behind the lone striker dictates he gets alot of ball to feet and the only time we look to the striker is ftom a long ball or a **** cross.

For me he slows the game down to much playing in that role and has **** decision making! Far too often he tries to over complicate things by making a ridiculous pass.

Would like to see a change to see if our strikers get more of the ball and more goals

Didn't see the game yesterday and so obviously not seen alot of Balde but he looks the kind of striker that feeds of wingers and a more direct style of play

Yep lets give them a chance they can't be any worse than what we have, but we still need a penalty box striker.

Stokes is a penalty box striker, but Lennon wants him to do work outside of the box!

For me, if you play lone striker with Commons behind you need the striker in the box not outwide

Pukki's the same as Stokes in that respect, he too prefers to do most of his work outside the box and I suspect that it's team instructions. If they both do it all the time - which they do - then it must be in line with the instructions they are given. We seem to be attempting to adopt the Barca style in actually not have any forwards and relying more on midfielders running from deep(Or in our case, strikers) to do the attacking.

If we do actually spend some money on a real penalty box player then the team set up will have to change, I don't think Lennon wants to change it just yet but maybe he knows the league is won and we may as well try a new more direct approach at times with a lot more balls into the box to a proper target man.

If we don't buy such a player then I suspect Lenny won't be too disappointed as it has to signal change, IF we spend some real money he really won't have any option but to play him and get a new set up in place for Europe next year.

Whipping his balls out seems to be more the problem.
