Football Director

According to CL, we are now looking to bring in a Football Director (Hoddle is the name being bandied about). I don't really see, given our current squad, that this is in any way a priority. Surely some strikers, midfielders, and obviously a couple of goalkeepers are more important in the short term, and besides, a Football director is'nt subject to the january transfer window, so could be done in february. The only reason I can imagine for this , if true, is that M. Deuchalet is not planning to be at the club very often or at all, and needs another pair of eyes, or hands.
Delegating responsibility is a good manegerial tactic when it works, but we really need to delegate a better squad.
