Hopefully Rodgers will just get a fine and not get himself banned for a game. One game/one result could prove critical for a campaign.
Moyes has accused the FA, opposition players and refs and linesmen of cheating utd since the season started and deserves at least 4 times whatever Rodgers gets, but as Ferguson will no doubt be sitting next to his anointed one snarling at the FA panel he'll just get a warning.
job has been done. he's stuck the boot in and i will be thinking that next time lee mason is our ref he's bee on best behaviour. small fine... who cares...
I was expecting him to get a one-game ban if i'm being honest. Slightly surprised he's only going to get a fine but it's positive news for us!
no these refs know the score.. mason will be watched and he'll behave. ROdgers has a good record, he got away with it cos he pushed it... but the lesson next time is get it in first not after... he should raise anything like this in the prematch... just a little more sneakily. ie "the pressure will be on lee mason on the weekend as he's from the manchester area and has to be seen to be fair" that kind of thing... then everyones looking at mason but there's no suggestion that he's yet done anything wrong. do it after and you make that assertion... just like moyes did... it all sounds like sour grapes after.
agree mito, comments after the result do get seen as sour grapes even if they have a point, do it before the game then you have highlighted a fear you have but in a way the fa can do **** all about it! ****s
refs take note though... but don't say something about pens cos then they've wave yours away... I think moyes is going to get his this time.. no question.
Been said before, but I'll say it again.. The Refs need to be held accountable, they should give interviews, not straight after the match but at least 30mins after (when they too have had time to calm down and reflect on their performance) and any "controversial" decision they made should be quiried, they'll either hold their hands up and say they cocked up and won't do that again or rightfully (or wrongly) try to explain the decision the made and why they made it. If it weren't for a couple of dodgy decisions by refs Steve Clarke would have won at Chelsea as well as at home, 4 extra points and wins in "big" games would have kept him in his job, I have no doubt about that.. These refs are costing people and clubs a lot of bloody points/money with their inept performances!
