Morning Troops, It gets from bad to worse, a strong Leeds Utd side got battered last night by Harrogate AFC. Only a late Poleon goal late on spared Leeds' blushes further. Look at the team :- Cairns, Coyle (Dawson 68), Wootton, Drury, Byram, Warnock (Denton 79), Thompson (Hutton 77), Lenighan, Ariyibi, Hunt (Walters 68), Poleon Yes, I know it was only a friendly, but by putting 5 or 6 past a team of part timers who play non league, would have at least have given the team some confidence, and could have drawn a line in the sand after the embarrassment of the Rochdale game. Why was Byram playing? I can understand that many of our starting line up are coming back after injury, or fringe players so, why was Byram playing? I thought the players were knackered! Be truthful with us!!! Some of the blame has to be put on Glory Hunter. He was telling me two weeks ago how Leeds lose when he follows on the match thread, and the first time he makes a match thread, we lose to non league opposition. Glory, I hear Sheffield Wednesday would like you to do a match thread for them Who wants some good news? Cameron Stewart had a medical last night, and will become a Leeds Utd player today, albeit on a three month loan. We are also aggressively going after Jimmy Kebe. McDermott wants them both in the squad for Saturdays game at Hillsborough. On a positive note, the players that we are going after are of a much higher caliber then the ones that previous Managers were capturing. It is also nice that we are beating other Championship clubs to the signings. Agree?
Morning Elland and all. Less said about Harrogate the better. Ill comment on beating others to players signings when we do and they actually produce something of note. Lucky a lot of contracts are running down cos we sure as hell won't shift any of our rubbish unless Holloway is as daft as Lomas
Salutations Couldn't really give too hoots about a friendly against Harrogate. What happen to blame Tom Lees? Finally got the Stewart 'deal' done, GOOD. I'm getting sick of these drawn out transfer deals in the public eye. At least when we had Grayson in charge and everything was done behind close doors there was an excitement to see who we were going to bring.
Morning all .... hahaha Grayson transfer deals, always done behind closed doors because Bates didn't want us to know we were signing some loser on a free, do me a favour ... really not bothered about Harrogate match, that was more of a run out and avoid injuries, and Harrogate would have approached it as a Cup Final ... Byram has hardly played this season, so a run out would have been to build his fitness to get him a step closer to reaching his best again ... pleased Stewart is coming, it gives us width and hopefully we can land Kebe as well Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I didn't think Byram played? WhEN a couple of signings happen will be the time to feel pleased Morning, too
Correct - just checked it was Richard Bryan, a young centre back who played, so Byram didn't start last night after all ... oooer mommy!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Morning all. Crap result last night, but the signng of Stewart and the possible signing of Kebe shows that we are still moving in the rght direction, albeit a tad too slowly for our collective liking.
I know f all about Stewart, only the stuff that the ull and charlton fans have said. I hope he's a hit, but only time will tell.
Shaks, those that played last night weren't the tired ones, they were our 2nd string. Reason for the game was to keep the fit and give them an opportunity to push for a starting spot. No wonder BMD needs a few more players to freshen things up. Anyone go to the game? Any mitigating circumstances?
Fingers are still crossed because nothing happened as yet. I hope we get both deals done today and the kebe thing was right out of left field as none of us had thought about him. Stewart, Kebe and Sharp would be like having a new team against the wendies and sharpo would get some decent service with that set up, and Ross feeding off Sharp - Come on Boss do it
I realise it was a second string Boggers. ..just sick of all this tiredness bull **** that's being spouted. Let them do a 12 hr shift for a few weeks, then they can be tired...
Morning all. Just been thinking about Holloway and he's an expert at coming in and finishing off the jobs started by other managers. Blackpool - Grayson got them up from league one, was making good progress in the championship then takes the Leeds job. Holloway came in, finished the job, got them promoted to the EPL. Crystal Palace - Freedman doing a great job, steering the club from near certain relegation towards the top of the championship then went to Bolton. Holloway came in, finished the job, got them promoted to the EPL. Millwall - Lomas doing a great job, steering them away from the top of the championship to near certainties for relegation. Now, can Holloway finish the job ?
Pulis confirms in press conference that Kebe will be shipped out on loan to Leeds till end of the season #cpfc#skyfootball#bbcsport
More Gradel rumours appearing on Twatter. Also some about trying to nick Ashley Barnes from Burnley at the last minute.
Ken, so pleased Haigh and Co have forced you out of Elland Road. We are now signing a different class of player
