"Adnan hit a shot against me when I was offside."

"On another day that would have been given, but it just did not go for us."

Which translates as, "We're used to being given dodgy decisions and it's taking time getting used to being treated like all the other clubs." <doh>

He's admitting he was offside but still wants the goal to be given, then his joke manager complains about other decisions.

I think we are seeing a new era indeed here as Man Utd management and players now feel they have to come out in public to try and placate an ever frustrated and restless Old Trafford faithless that they can still be the team of old under SAF. In years gone by, they would have just said nowt and then rattled 2 or 3 goals in at the Theatre of Refs Dreams and moved on to Wembley unfussed.

This to me is should signal to our manager and players that we have rattled the cage and although the return leg is of course a mammoth tals still, its by no means a forgone conclusion either. Just as it happened to Liverpool in the 90's, now that the old scottish bastard has retired, you no longer have to beat him AND the team now and there are chinks in the once impregnable armour of the Red Devils. They have been over reliant on the old brigade of Giggs, Scholes, Neville, Vidic and Ferdinand et al to keep the legend going but all of the above have either gone or are past their best now and the replacements are not as good.

I'm quite chuffed at Moyes embarrassing after-match ramble and now Giggs dummy spitting exercise here. We must use that in the 2nd leg as a starting point and tell ourselves we can do it. An early goal for them would give them the impetus but likewise, if we can keep them at bay and frustrate them for the opening 30 mins, we may even see an Old Trafford backlash from fans who are not happy and players who are desperately trying to convince themselves they are still the team of old.

Underdogs we may well be but beaten ones we are certainly not.

The cat is maybe now out of the bag as SAF isn't there anymore to bully and con the authorities that they have to let them win all the time.

Moyes has gone way down in my opinion after last nights embarrassment of an interview. He reckons the foul on Fletcher could potentially have been his free kick? What the **** is the bloke on? Fair enough the penalty was a soft one but its about tile Man U had a bit of bad luck because it has been lacking these last 20 years...

City are playing like they want to be able to send the youth team to Upton Park for the 2nd leg.
