Hart Foster Forster Walker Johnson Jones Smalling Cahill Jagielka Cole Baines Gerrard Carrick Henderson Wilshere Milner Lallana Barkley Cleverley Rooney Welbeck Sturridge Lambert
Following Roy's interview yesterday, anybody starting to agree with my OP prediction of Shaw going to Brazil?!
I hope Shaw gets called up for a friendly and shows that he can play without all his mates round him. He has to demonstrate that he can also play well with near strangers. Of course England may consist of half the Saints team
My England team would be Hart Clyne Cahill Jagielka Shaw Schneiderlin Cork Lallana Rooney Rodriguez Lambert I think that's a balanced view.
Except Schneiderlin is French....good try, but Roy won't be trying to sneak him in Please don't get everyone started on whether he qualifies or not....he doesn't.
Purely on how he played against us, I would give Shawcross a chance. Cahill always seems prone to a slip up trying to look casual.
I tried. Were he not a shoein for Croatia, I might have suggested expedient UK passport-processing. Turnbull was a stretch too far I think. Shame Guly doesn't qualify for UK citizenship for 2 years
If Hodgson is going to call on anyone from the U21's, he will take John Stones. He could possibly take Luke as well, but I would put Stones ahead of Shawcross.
See Lovren has been called up for a friendly in March...has to leave immediately after the Liverpool game and return before the Palace one. Could do without that, but have to let him have the opportunity in WC year. Amazing how happy I can be for a Saints England player being called up and yet regard a call up for one of our foreign players as risky and unimportant
I would have Fonte/Lovren as my CB pairing. No-one will notice. Everyone thinks England are rubbish so they won't be watching.
agreed. I believe he I not a top international CB either though. OK against average international players, but a top class one, playing I a top class team then I'd worry
